I agree with you that would be a great idea... i'm down with that. The only problem is the buyer wanted to pick up my car on Sunday. He wants to fly in from PA and put it on a trailor then go home monday. Thus the rush on my part to make a decision. P.S Jon .... I'm Sam Russo's nephew. You did some work on his e39 M5. nice job For those of you who have volunteered to run I will be pm'ing you . thanks

If I was in your place, I'd turbo the M3. I am still impressed with what horsepowerfreaks did to their stock m3. Keep it unless you are tired of it. Last edited by retrodrive; 04-25-2007 at 04:27 PM.. Reason: post did not make sence |

Search through some of WalkedU's old posts. He has posted some good videos. He has raced just about everything out there with his PROceded 335i. He has pulled pretty easy on an M3 with exhaust, CAI as well as another M3 with 3.91s and UDPs (which has ran 12.8s @ 108). |

Faster in terms of straight line speed, I would think a Proceded 335i will take a stock E46 M3. My tuned 335 Diesel will take out an E46 M3 rolling from 30MPH; take off from stationary, the E46 M3 pulls slightly ahead until my D hits the 2nd gear 'surge' zone.
However, if you want to compare 'faster' round corners, on twisties or on a track, the E46 M3 is still hard to beat. |

Well here's some more things to consider that will rattle the brain
M3 - high dollar car with mods. Mods that will cost more to maintain as a F/I car for longevity reasons. Still feels better than a 335 to a lot of owners because of the viceral feel of the car (entire package) and not as porkly as the 335. HP can be increased significantly with F/I that will rival the 335 but at a cost greater than that of the 335 dollar/HP 335 - New car with warranty. No "extra" F/I issues to really deal with. Simple plug and play unit will drastically improve HP with little or no affect. You'll get all the new "toys" that BMW updated the lineup with a newer make and model. Initial cost of ownership for the short term will be less but you'll probably lose your car for a month or so waiting on a new HPP. HP will more than likely be capped at what the Procede plus intake/exhaust will put out due to other constraints in the car without doing some serious motorwork. |
