Talk to Patrick

Call and talk to Patrick Fletch, the service manager. I will forward this link to him so he knows what the issue is about. If everything is as you said it was I am sure he will take care of you. I hope you would then post the result on the forum. Like the others who posted on the forum, I have had nothing but good things to say about Budds'.

Juri is great and it appears he has created a sale. Karkid, on the other hand......I realize there are savings to be had by buying a US car but almost always a few problems. Buy Canadian. How is OUR economy? Is buying from an American going to provide jobs up here? Do you shop at Home Depot too when Rona has exactly the same products.

just dropped my car off today for the Dinan LSD installation at Budd's, my experience with the Dinan S2 flash was excellent. Hopefully, this will be the same.

MAN..Drop that BS talk already. Geez...dont need to hear this everytime.

Service is service whether you bought it from the home dealership or not. If BMW Canada says warranty is covered in Canada for US cars, then the dealers should respect that. I recommend the OP to discuss this with the Manager and find out what happened.

I shop at Home Depot too.

Dropped off my car this morning for coolant flush. Good service as always.

Not sure if this member is on e90 post. spotted AW e90 with White AE, Yellow Fogs, and carbon fiber splitters heading towards Budds. Looking good man. I was the one in the silver e90 that also had yellow fogs :-)

THAT will make a huge difference. Wish I had bought mine from them...I'd have done the flash for sure.

Says the guy driving a german car. Last time I checked Home Depot in Canada employee Canadians, and a large number at that. Your logic is flawed, although you are almost on the right track

Nicely said.

You think Rona makes the products in Canada? No, they buy it from the same place as Home Depot. In the end you are still helping locally.

I understand whet you are saying but That car was purchased here in Canada so at least the profit on the car stayed here. Canadian jobs from the docks to trucks to dealerships were supported. All the profit at Home depot goes down to Atlanta. Rona is Canadian...profit stays here.
I think this thread was about Budds? My last BMW was from there and they were great. I moved so I bought locally.

I will give you a chance to re read your post and think about how you contradict yourself. Its not worth the effort to explain the obvious.

I bought my 2008 at Budd's, but I got better service at the Hamilton dealership, because the Oakville site is way to busy.

Now I should be getting my 2011 335is from Budd's in Oakville very soon.

When I first bought my 2008 and the power steering was making noise and no one would do anything about it, so I sent an e-mail to BMW Canada about it and gave Budd's a poor rating on their service and the way I was treated, Budd's service manager called me right away and looked at it, set a time for the part to come and give me a BMW to drive until my car was ready.

And then very time I have a problem I am treated like gold.

It should not matter if the car is a US or Canadian it a BMW and they should stand behind their product.

Send BMW a e-mail on what happened and they will fix it.

I've bought all three of my BMWs from Waterloo (just strangely worked out that way) even though Budds is my 'home' dealership. I've had my cars serviced at Budds (previously in Oakville and now Hamilton) and they've always treated me well.

In fact when compared to some of the Japanese-brand dealerships, the whole sales and service experience from BMW has been astonishingly good and professional. Sometimes it only takes a small wake-up call (like bringing my wife's Mazda in for service) to remind me how good I've got it.

And beyond all else, as we all know if you treat the people at the desk with a bit of consideration and respect, it's amazing how much harder they'll work for you.

another fine job from Budd's Performance Unit. Brent had my car for the day and he got it back in time for me before he left.

Those who said the LSD was their best MOD were absolutely correct (i.e. FARBMW). I don't think I can own another car without it anymore.

I haven't gone "postal" with the car on my first drive, but I noticed I can keep the throttle on throughout the apex on push the car in a much higher speed around the corner (on-ramps, off-ramps). The word "under-steer" had completely disappeared from my car's dictionary.

+1, that is why the one I had in the 335i is going in the 335is, the LSD makes all the difference.

It doesn't even matter if it's a slap in their face....The warranty transfers over and it's expected for them to treat you well. You have done nothing wrong if you have bought from the US. If the dealership has a problem with it, they can take it up with BMW Canada, or whoever decided that the warranty would transfer over...

The way I see it, I pay enough damn taxes in this country to support this country so if I want to save some money by buying a car in the U.S. (which by the way, I have not done), then I shouldn't feel like I am being un-Canadian in doing so.

I have had no issue with any warranty passing over from the US to canada. The only thing they didnt take care of was the oil change service that comes with a purchase for 4 years. I have to pay for that and only that.

And THAT is the bottom line.

If you want excellence in service: look at Costco.

I once returned a US Costco purchased $800 TomTom GPS at the Markham Costco. Another time, a video game (and i didn't have a receipt).....and they were excellent in their customer service aspect.

No suggesting "you're hurting Canada by shopping in US and refusing to buy a 35% markup item locally".
