A little late to this discussion but what is the desire here; just to have the procede shut off when the engine is off? Sorry, but that is all I garnered from browsing the thread.

This configuration really has some advantages. Thus the relays are intercepting the PROcede harness, you will never have a "disconnected" status, even not for a nanosecond
![]() When you install a remote power on / power off switch for the PROcede, you will be able to switch back to stock. No need for a stock map, ideal for diagnostic purposes. There is no need to wake up the PROcede when the car is off thus the bypass plugs are virtually installed. You only have to add another relay in the future when Vishnu adds another wire to the bypass plugs and you will exactly know where ![]() Cheers Eugen p.s. 1 relay has been < US$ 1.00 |

What kind of relay are you using? Obviously not mechanical... The reason I ask is that I have wanted to look into making a mating harness to ease the install removal process of the procede. Building the relays in might be advantageous when under construction. |

You can expect the DIY PROcede wireless remote access within the next 2-3 weeks. It will be a challenge for me to describe how to set up the devices easily
![]() I also tested the approach to get it to work using the laptop's built-in bluetooth interface. The PROcede reader is not able to open such a COM port. Also, please forget about all those Home-Office devices. Using 2 SD100's emulating the cable is rugged and works good ( for me ). I don't care about e.g. to have to wait a little bit longer for loading a map when I can do it without touching anything mechanical in the car. Currently the SD100's are running all the time to verify that all is good before I will motivate you to spend ~ US$200 for the 2 devices and propably getting issues. It looks very, very good except you plan datalogging ( to slow, at least for me ). Its a professional solution and supports overall PROcede reader functionality. Sorry for offtopic. Coming from the industrial controls industry, we deal with relays daily. But most are opto or mechanical and all mechanical we work with have an 'open' period. |
