You will not realise 420 with just a map and I/C.

I'm pretty sure Evolve have achieved that figure with their remap and their FMIC.

Their stage 2 is 420bhp. Downpipes, I/C and remap.

Indeed. You need to release the back pressure on the turbos to get to 400+ hp, as I understand it. Then, it's Rob Beck turbos and meth........and you're nerarer 500 hp......bloody hell!

I love the idea of a stealth 3 series with that sort of horsepower, assuming it could be insured of course.

Mike.

In terms of styling i either want to get the Autovogue kit or go for m sport kit with maybe an m3 rep front bumper and a aftermarket rear diffuser with quad cut outs. I think the whole M3 rep including wings etc is too much work and too expensive.
I think you're worrying too much. If the car has met its services, had good quality oil, been warmed up/cooled down and generally treated well then you're fine. I come from the VW/AUDI/SEAT scene and it wasn't uncommon for someone to buy a 100k 1.8T S3 or Cupra R and then go nuts with it, there were several high milers on the forums with hybrid or big turbo's ranging from 340bhp to 400+. My advice is to spend a little as possible (condition depending of course) and then plough the money into the mods, especially seeing as you're planning on keeping the car for a long long time.

Thats what i did!
My 335i coupe was well over 100k miles( nearly 140k now lol!) and was originally a ex bmw demonstrator so came fully loaded with all the gizmos.
The mileage is all motorway miles, so very little chance of carbon build up and i generally buy higher mile cars with motorway miles as u normally can bag yourself a good deal.
My e46 m3 had over 135k on it and i did approx 5 trackdays in it a year as well as drive it everyday.
As long as cars been serviced properly and on time, mileage should make too much difference but u would want to make sure that other wear/tear items have been changed like suspension/brakes/bushes etc which can all add up if need doing and outweigh the benefit of buying a high mileage car.
I came from supras 2jz were they were modded to well over 500hp with 100k plus on the engines and the 335i being forged should be fine if looked after.
