Yup, my SA just called me and said the car arrived this morning. Any updates on your car? Which dealership did you order it from?

He said my car's still sitting at the port and it'll take another 7-10 days. Well i guess few more days

Noticed that my car's status on OC changed to "At Preparation Center" earlier this evening.

Not looking like I'll be able to pick it up this weekend, but definite progress at least.

Dont worry about the OC or even the 800#. My car is already at the dealership waiting for me to pick it up. 800# still says its in transit. And OC said it was en route but JUST changed to VPC. Im sure you'll get it soon.

The good news is that I finally heard back from my CA...

The bad news is that I'll have to wait until this weekend , since my car is not scheduled to be delivered to the dealer until the 9th.

At least it's finally scheduled for a transport truck.

Hey l4wr3nc3! I was wondering if you got your car yet, and which dealer you bought from. Been waiting for my car but not to dealer yet...can it take that much longer to get from one So Cal dealer to the next? Just wondering...thanks

Anyone in Northern California able to take delivery of their vehicle yet?

My 335i was scheduled to be trucked to the dealer today, but when I called my CA to check on it's arrival, he found that it was never released by the VPC. :mad:

Between my work schedule and my CA going on vacation this week, the chances of my seeing my car anytime this month are rapidly diminishing.

Hmmm...sorry about the LATE response. Didnt notice anyone posted in this thread. Im not quite sure what your asking, but yea i already picked up my car. Its officially been a week since i picked it up. I bought it from Long Beach BMW. From what i have read, most cars that are already ordered by customers are priority 1. Which means that it is pretty much the first to get off the ship, get through VPC, and get to the dealership. If your car really was on TITUS, im not sure whats taking it so long to arrive. What dealership did you buy through? Hopefully you took delivery of your car already.

Thanks for the response l4wr3nc3...came in 3 days ago but just got it yesterday...just curious about a few other things...how many miles was on your car when you took it from the dealer-was it different from the sales contract? Also was the contract date the same as the VPC check list date(mine was 5/31/07)?

Im not so sure as to the date of contract and the VPC check list. But my car had 3 miles when i first picked it up.

Mine had over 20...thought that was kind of high...any thoughts why?

Hmm, that does sound pretty high. Although i was reading what E90fleet said and it does make sense. He said that the millage we see when we pick up the car is how many miles it was driven when set into customer mode. The car actually does quite a lot of miles at the factory and through all stages of its build. So maybe at VPC they activated it into customer mode so when it was been tested they racked up a few more miles.

But this could also mean that your dealership might have let people test drive your car. I talked with my SA to make sure no one would test drive the car and sure enough, no one did. i recall reading that if someone wanted to test drive a car at the dealership and the car was really "hot" and they only had one (even if it was sold), they would still let people test drive it.

Take it for what its worth.

I think you are right...they probably did let some people test drive it...didn't know I had to instruct them on not letting people drive my car...thought that would be a given...that sucks! Where is the E90 fleet article?
