I don't know about the schedule, it seems like it is getting across the ocean pretty quickly, but I know it takes most of a day to get from outer NY harbor to the NEAT terminal, so I am expecting it to be "on time" and I will be pleasantly surprised if it is quicker.

From what I have read on other threads, once the car is at VPC, there is little or no information available on status. It just sort of shows up at the dealership one day.... So for now, I enjoy having solid current information.

Update:

FREEDOM is coming closer and closer. There were fewer than normal updates yesterday, but she checked in today off the coast of Newfoundland and headed SW towards the Nova Scotia and US waters. Welcome to the New World, you big lovely ship!

she appears to be between NF and NS.

I don't know why she is pulling in so close to land. There is no scheduled stop at Halifax (and she's kind of going the wrong way for that).

i'm not able to grab the map from this computer for some reason.

Guys just to let you know I got a call from my CA and he said that the VPC in Jersey is backed up big time...Just to give you a heads up when you cars is discharged from the ship when it comes in, there is going to be at least 10-14 days at the VPC!!! My car was discharged May 16, i was told delivery by May 30th..Hmmm thats 2 weeks from now......eeeeeeeeerrrrr

Would this make the wait time in New York of getting the cars off of the boat take longer if I'm waiting for South Carolina?

cwn23: thanks for the heads up. I was sort of half expecting to get my car next week, but now I will settle down and plan for the following week. Gotta call the insurance company and let them know about the new car...

fyi, unless you're having bodywork or paintwork done at the VPC there isn't a backup. no worries folks... I'm expecting my cars on this ship by middle of next week. I'll let you know where they are in terms of the release status which will give you a bit more info in the void that is the VPC

Maybe theroyalway might be right...I am getting the aerokit installed and the factory alarm, maybe thats why i am getting a 2 week from now delivery date....If so then anyone not getting stuff like this done at the port, probably will get their cars in week!!! I hope this is the case for you guys because waiting really sucks!!! I don't know why my CA told me there was a delay, maybe just mis-communication!!! Anyway good-luck to everyone

About 150 mi. due east of Cape Cod - she will probably be turning more Westerly as she comes past Nantucket. She will sail the length of Long Island today, and probably pick up a pilot this evening, and head into NY tomorrow, right on schedule.
