Thanks, Brandon |

Oh by the way, I fixed the issue.
Called Burger Tuning and they shipped me a new male connector. I stripped the wire a little bit and crimped on the wire. Re-installed. Lol. |

Bms power box
I just ordered my bms power box for my bmw 328ix 2010 and I'm not understanding when it says complete the loop for the wires, how do you complete isn't the white wire now in the clip and the other end of it is in the power box? so how do you join them both together ??

I don't understand why everyone keeps putting up with this incorrect instructions. go see a lawyer follow the instructions and blow your car up then follow legal action against BMS/burger motorsport company for damages on why they do not correct the manual. |

happy with PBX
Just installed my BMS PBX this wknd. So far I have to say I am really pleasantly surprised, esp. after all the negative opinions from some on the forums. I bought it used for $100 thinking even if it's as bad as some say it'll be worth it. I tried it in tune only (map 7) and it _does_ seem to accelerate better. So to me the claim of increase in hp & torque seems true. Adding throttle mapping to the tune makes the car way more responsive then w/o it.
It really makes my driving a whole lot more fun with both tuning & throttle remapping on. Given my other mods, I think I'd rate this as one of the best bang for the buck so far ! As for the install, I think BMS is really doing itself a great disservice by not correcting the error in the install instructions. More so, I actually think they should add some detail pictures or schematics so people can understand where the PBX male/female wires go, and where do the original ECU wires. I knew even before opening what they want me to do, but for the less technically inclined the prospect of messing with ECU wiring is daunting enough without having to troubleshoot errors. The BMS PBX installation error in detail: on page 20/29 it reads >>>>>>>> "Insert the yellow wire you just removed in to the PBX white female wire, completing the loop." and it should read >>>>>>>> "Insert the PBX white male wire into the female yellow ECU wire you just removed, completing the loop."

BMW platform has been spoiled by how tune friendly the n54 engine is , now any tune that offers less than 100whp increase is considered not worth it and thus the bad reviews. ten years ago i was happy to get 5 whp from a 300$ intake.

I've had my PBX installed for several months now and I can honestly say it was completly worth it. I notice a suttle power increase but the throttle response on either of the 100% throttle increase maps takes driving to a whole new level of fun for this NA engine. The install took me about an hour from what I remember and I am not mechanically inclined whatsoever. Anyways I'm not a bot or a representative of BMS in anyway shape or form and have no stock in whether people buy this or not. Just a normal car guy with an honest to god opinion. Actually bought mine slightly used for $200 from a sponsor on this forum which I can show receipt of if anyone is questioning my review.

stig or not, you should get a bit of a life... seems like you're kinda taking it upon yourself to let no positive PBX review fly past you.
