That's a good way to organize it (by artist and favorite songs / cd's); also if you wish to share a concert experience or other story; that's probably cool too, right CP or no?

I'll start -

NAS (my favorite rapper although he hasn't done anything worth listening to since about 2003)

And probably like a hundred others.

Rap is going the way of rock... but everyone should be allowed to enjoy whatever music they want...

How we do it in the House/Trance thread is this..

(Artists Name) - (Song Name) (Remix)

(Youtube Link here)

It allows us to go back and use the thread like a library to search for music in one place. It also helps combat reposts of the same songs. Good luck and remember, sharing is caring.

I grew up on outkast and have a soft spot for their music.

Not sure I'd call them the best. Duos have created a large portion of classic hip-hop:

gang starr
eric b/rakim
KRS one/scott larock
mobb deep

^^^^ Yeah Yakev; like I said, I love the guy but he just doesn't evolve well. You compare someone like Jay-Z who does evolve well and stays relevant for years and years. Those songs are OK at best and many people today just won't be able to vibe out to stuff like that...

You're right. He's my favorite lyricist/rapper. Here's some rarer material:

Nas - Good Morning

Wake Up Show Anthem '94

Nas - Purple

Nas - U Gotta Love It

Nas - Deja Vu

^^^ IMHO; I would say that the Lost Tapes by NAS is some of the best hip hop material ever produced.

huge fan of j cole he graduated from my college lol. Although I'm disappointed with his album sounds to generic like he's been hanging out with drake too much. His mixtape FNL is amazing though wish he went back to that kinda style.

It's not a coincidence that one is commercially sold and the other isn't.

Every rapper does this these days. There mixtapes are killer but when their album drops its to appeal to the masses. I agree with it from a buisness satnd point but would prefer they stuck to their guns. For example wiz, mac, and jcoles albums are all more mainstream but i think theyre still good
