The mods need to start banning people on here...

...back on topic, are there any pictures of the GruppeM we can get in this thread? Has the gruppeM dyno'ed gains? Is there a sound difference?

My V-8 S4 was more expensive than my or your 335 but the brand new intake for it, and mind you i got it right when it came out for the car and was one of the first, it was about $400. So how do you justify $900-$1000 for this intake? Other than stupidity? I would buy it in the end if it was the only one but still its too much money. I think Bav would sell many more intakes if they priced them right. Like $550 to $600.

This doesn't even cover our cost. Please, we have sold all our products for the best prices you can find. When we introduced our painted splitters we sold them GB for $180, our CF $220, our painted spoilers for $189, we are about to introduce the full CF replacement trim made out of plastic base, not cheap fiberglass to ensure quality and we are pricing it at $$499. We ARE fair pricers, we are providing something that is being sold for nearly $2000 for half the price and are being accused of selling it for too much!

The CF engine cover sells for over $300 and it's a single CF piece, this kit includes 4 pieces of similar size with intricate designs, plus a K&N filter which has a fixed cost. Our parts are made out of the best CF you can find, the cost for a single yard of raw CF is over $60.00. There are added cost such as the molds, and labor. WE ARE PROVIDING AN EXCELLENT PRICE.

This is not a discussion thread it is a GB thread. Please let''s keep this thread for those who are interested in the product. If you do not want it, then happy findings and Godspeed But please reserve your comments if they are not helpful, especially when you say words like "ripping off"

$200-$400 is a fine price for a filter-on-a-stick intake made from plastic, foam, and aluminum. People even here say that $500 was fine for a simpler intake a few years ago, but this is a new product in CF, and it appears fairly involved. Sure, $1800 is way overpriced, but they still sell them. I would prefer to see this one in action before making a judgement about $900 (as I would almost just pay the extra $900 if I have any doubts). GruppeM is a very expensive company, as evidenced by their very minor intake for the E46 330, which still costs about $677

1. Does anyone have or have seen the Dyno for this product?

2. Are you making a CF engine cover to match this intake? You mentioned $300 for engine cover, but I have not seen this anywhere else in your posts.

3. Will you obtain a new dyno of your intake to prove reproducible gains with the replica?

4. Any plans for a non-CF intake system?
1. Don't know, we are to dyno it soon. Gruppe M posts their official gains on various places"

2.No, I just used it as an example because there is another vendor selling this excellent product on the forum for this price.

3. Yes.

4. Remains to be seen, but no for now. Fiberglass is an alternative, but we do not sacrifice quality for price. I'm sure you guys won't either, that's why we have BMW.

Gruppe M charging $1800 for an intake is no different than Supersprint trying to charge $5k for an exhaust for the 335. Its just a stupid excuse to try and make some extra money at the expense of the companies reputation. Just because its a new product for a new car.

Some people on the forum are stupider than rice but i guess its not their fault. I could sell them a pet rock for a $1000 as long as i found a different pet rock that costs $2000. Im not trying to jack the thread in any way just trying to get justification for the cost of the intake.
Like we've posted many times before, BavDom was founded by enthusiasts in order to provide innovative parts at fair prices. Our monetary gain is calculated to an amount that maintains the company alive. BavDom is for the enthusiasts.

You all are disgusting! The man is running a buisness and trying to sell his item yet your in here bashing it! How would you like for him to go into the marketplace and every thread you make selling an item he trash talks it, or for that matter finds a way to say he could sell that same item for 1/15th of the price your selling it at. If you have a problem with the item hes selling, leave the thread, your posts, unless in someway its helping or asking an honest question, are not necessary!

Sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread, but when are you going to start a thread like this for the E92 328 intake in the sponsor/GB forum? I am ready to be the first on the list.

.

Do you happen to have any dyno sheets that show these gains? I searched, but couldn't find.

THat is nearly half. Lead time will be 60-90 days.

Do not miss out on this incredible offer. Once we've established the GB the price will go up.
Interested in the $799.

ill pay 2000 bucks for an intake if it makes power...money isnt the issue...its paying for something that will do nothing for you.

On Audi's we actualy see a loss in power when adding any type of intake rather than stock.
On my B6 A4 1.8T I saw lower intake temps on my GIAC FX chipped car..so it definitely did something positive on my old Audi.
