We all mod for different reasons, different goals and with different budgets.
Some try to squeeze the best pphp (price per horse power) out of their mods and take a slow, calculated and methodological approach to modding. Some just want the biggest, baddest, for full retail price plus fitting. Some want a few visual mods, as they become available, some performance mods and really will never be finished. Mods are bought and fitted in a pace only defined by the modder. Then there is someone in-between. A fairly informed buyer, happy to read, read some more and be informed, informed enough. These buyers are what is the current market and perfect for operators like BMR. I've dealt with Stu for some time, every time I have gotten a quote, the prices are the same as I can get myself, imported and bought direct! So the perfect fit for this type of buyer is the open-jacket (to reveal singlet) man himself, stu! I wish I was more time poor, so I could just send him a list of what I want and get him to do it. Unfortunately, I have more time available to me than most, and enjoy chasing the most ridiculous bargains So to sum up, OP you have made the most fiducially responsible and a smart choice with finding your bolt-ons. Do I have a man crush? perhaps. Am I sticking up for someone who hasn't even been attacked? sure. I just wanted to say it. hah! |

executive summary from previous post: stu is the fast track to get the best value for money mods, that you would want or need after 200+ hours of reading every thread and post for about the same money you would pay trying to do it for yourself.

Well put though, there are folk who just want it now and are happy to pay the 'knowledge' price, or BMW tax as I like to call it. I would prefer to read read read ask ask ask then buy and hope I have made the right decision |

fiducially means faith based, faithfully or basically a leap-of-faith.
Actually has nothing to do with money, even tho it sounds like it would :P In mid OCT, i knew NOTHING about BMW's. I bought my first one, didn't know what LCI meant, the difference between the m-sport model and otherwise or even what the numbers meant. i must say, the boards have taught me a lot, and local vendors, like-minded, make everything that little bit better. as a side pcock, I got my xmas present yesterday...all detailing products *win win win!!!* |

Who's stuart by the way? Is there some local contacts I can buy parts and is roughly the same price as ordering from the states myself?
Am looking at a charge pipe & DCI locally if possible. Gonna install my parts on 3rd Jan so I think ordering from overseas might not be such a good option. |
