Wiring for OSS Head Lights

I just bought a used set of these off a forum member but when I went to connect them I noticed the wiring for the LED's is just laying in there....2 red wires and 2 black. Can I connect these directly, is should there be some type of resistor in there??

Tried contacting the seller, but no response yet....

Thanks but they are already installed. What I need is info on whether these can be connected to the power source directly without burning them out.

Is the wiring that you speak of connected by a 100w resistor?

No there is nothing....100 watt resistor for each ring or one for each pair? Connect to positive or negative side?

^^Yeah that's what i was going to do but i think you need capacitors to protect the LEDs and resistors to keep the car from throwing error codes.

I went to a halogen to a xenon conversion, well not really a conversion on my end because the headlights were already fixed up. IIRC, i didn't see any resistors connected to the LED's and coded the errors out (if any)

Hey tomz, sorry man..Just got back tonight. Sorry I missed your text. I'm glad you sorted it out. I would had suggest to use the DRL circuit..that's what I was told. I couldn't had told you any additional info...because I had someone install it. He told me what it went too though. But I'm glad you enjoy the headlights..post it up man. Come to think of it..I have to update my sale section lol. Yeah man..I hook fellow members up .

Sneak preview of how it looked on my car..before I sold it.

I thought about that but test fitted them after repairing.....the damage isnt visible withthe bumper on so I am good....gonna be patient till I find a cheap driver side lamp, and then swap that out.

I didn't have time to post any pictures until after the holidays. And Tom, purchased it on the day that I was actually free (somewhat). I sent him pics of the lens..as my Pm box was overfilled with low ball offers like $20 bucks. So like I stated, if you were interested..PM me your address. And yes, I was going to swap over those OSS rings to my current headlights, that was my hesitation also considering the low-ball offers I got, I was leaning toward it. I am done with the modification world...and I figure someone in here would be happy with these rings.

The cap won't protect the LEDs. It probably just prevents the flickering from the bulb check system.

^^Yeah, I found out that it needs voltage regulators (these are the white boxes that come with OSS) to prevent premature burnout of the LED's.

Bump....anyone got a number for OSS? I sent Luis some funds for the harness I need last week...he said he would complete Friday or Monday past, and then just stopped responding to my emails after I asked for an update.

Ready to start a thread on what Will sold me....smh.
