I think it's 'off' like I stated in #3, but just to double check, can someone chime in and confirm?

1. Do harness reversal.
2. Put on Map '0' 3. Turn CANClear Off. 4. Turn o2 modifier on (100% is off), set to 50%. 5. Perform Drive cycle. 6. If you have a tool that checks readiness monitors, verify all are set to ready. This tool checks readiness flags for $18. That way you can verify the drive cycle worked before going in: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 7. You are ready to go. 8. When done you can leave harness as is if you want, just turn o2 modifier off (100%), put canclear back on, and put back to the map of your choice. |

I did all of the above and the CEL seems to come on even faster now with the same code, what am I doing wrong..
I did notice however the wires removed in the photos for the harness removal that are coming from the procede harness itself has a count of what seems to be 4 yellow wires, my harness only has 2 yellow wires both were already connected to the sub connector, there were no extra wires to reverse the harness properly as shown, I basically made my own 1 male to 2 female connector and plugged it in the mentioned spot. Help anyone!! As shown here there are 4 yellow wires, my harness only has 2..? Here is a pic of my harness, notice there are only 2 yellow wires coming out, no extra to "reverse" the harness..? It seems you may be in that situation. You would need to probably purchase a DP fix to wire in. If you can't locate a dp fix for sale, pehaps someone in the local forum section would let you borrow theirs? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=830700 |

I've passed!!!!! The only thing is I'm not sure why, yesterday I put some techron into my fuel tank and have been driving since.. Today after verifying that I only in fact had 2 wires for my procede, i got frustrated and decided to change the o2 modifier to 40% instead of 50 performed drive cycle, I figured maybe i didn't drive enough yet because the light hadn't come on.. so i kept driving and driving after about 30 miles, I decided to go back and check how many monitors were complete, all 6 monitors were complete including catalyst and no CEL the only one not complete other than the unsupported was the EGR..
So was the fix, the o2 Modifier somehow or the Techron..? Either way I passed.. going to run some tests to verify which method worked so next year i'll be ready. |

It's probably the O2 Modifier, I'm pretty sure Techron has NOTHING to do with it.
Good thing is you passed!! Now enjoy.

Long story short 1) shiv wont comment now since hes abandoned the n54 platform 2) hes been hit with the CARB regulations, and I'm sure giving public advice on how to defeat emissions requirements is now some sort of offense, as a retailer.
That being said, pretty sneaky to omit those wires on the new harness. I'd have to review the historical harness changes and my own harness to see if I have them either. Didn't the wires eventually become SLD or something? |
