I'm sure you can convince me to pop along to spectate; unlikely I'll have the right badge to join in though...

There is the RWYB challenge which is free of charge.
http://www.rwyb.co.uk/cc_introduction.php

You just need to register and get your number which you display on the rear window.

Your best times will then be stored on their website for each year. OK, unlikely to win anything, but it's a decent resource to refer to for future reference when nobody believes that you ran sub 12 seconds

why wouldn't people believe when you have a timing slip.

Probably because most people talk shit.

Pah - I took my tweaked Suzy RGV250 down the pod in 12.99 @113mph in the first ever year of RWYB in 1990 you young whippersnappers!

We camped too, got shitfaced, caned loads of pot and took loads of acid and all sorts. Great stuff, not condoning it, but it was great! RWYB after 48 hours awake?

I suppose it could be any old timing slip.

You're right about people talking shit, when I trained for a marathon, you would'nt believe the amount of people that had run sub 3:30 marathons in the past. I'd known some for years and never seen them in a tracksuit before!

Thinking about tagging along with you guys. Just joined today and looking to get back into the dragstrip. Might look into getting some 17x10s with some DRs. Most people using Nittos, why not Mickey Thompsons? Thats what I always ran in the states.

Car is a 07 AW 335D- Might have some mods by Feb!

Yep come along, the more the merrier..

I don't know about the availability of drag radials in the UK. But then this will be my first time at the pod so one of the strip gurus will chime in shortly no doubt...
