So I really like the 7" core from ETS. I think if I'll upgrade the IC then this will be it.

I'm FBO except for meth and the car runs really well.

The biggest difference was the DP + Tune in terms of power.

However, I will have to say that my favorite mod (in terms of power) is intercooler. Made the whole car much more predictable. WOT is pretty much the same every time as oppose to diminishing power over the course of the day on the track.

see... now this is the kind of post that wants me to throw my hands up and get an intercooler instead of meth right now. But I do want to get ready for the track as well... I can't make the march one, cuz of the two day thing and the fact that my kid can be born any minute now ... but meth makes sense to me in the summer on track days to keep things cooler than just an intercooler will ... I also need suspension cuz my xdrive ride hight is like a boat

You do realize that you can sign up for just one day on any of the track events right? There's a different price for the one day and it's very reasonable.

You straight up don't need any mods. It's better to run the car as is stock to develop your technique and learn track driving. Mod's just makes it more difficult for you to learn really how to drive. Example: Power makes it more difficult for you to learn how to balance your car on the corners because there's just so much of it. It'll be easier for you to spin out. An aftermarket suspension may induce oversteer/understeer at various parts of the corner and reacts much faster than the OEM suspension. If you don't react correctly and quickly, you'll spin out. OEM suspension is soft and very forgiving.

Stick with OEM. Turn some laps. Get experience.
Then turn some more laps.
Then upgrades.

If you just want to put money into it, at least get LSD, m3 bits, and then springs/shocks

Yes, somebody mentioned that there are 1 day events... but not the first one on march 17th. I'll keep a lookout for those because thats all i can do at this point. I travel all week long, every week and so my only time at home is on fridays and weekends .

I appreciate the input on mods, and it does make sense to me what your saying. Will my car benefit from an LSD? Its AWD so I dont have the traction issues RWD guys have or would I since i'm 60% RWD?

It's about being able to balance the car in a corner. I don't think that the LSD will make as big of a difference for an AWD. However I still believe it to be useful.

Someone else with more understanding should probably chime in.

I was reading up on the the xi forum and found that an LSD does help to keep traction from side to side... but xdrive transfer traction front to back... so it does really mess with xdrive on snow where really both wheels in the back or front needs to spin before any traction gets transferred...
