oh man, this thread is exciting to think about... Why does the UK have so many cool used cars and parts at reasonable prices? sigh

also, does anyone know if a LCI bumper will fit on a pre-LCI...?

Closer to Germany (also the German Ebay site has stuff but a little different to navigate/communicate)

Yes w/ some subtle modding I believe (maybe a new hood for the car)

Do you know what Freight/parcel service the seller used to ship?

I have no idea, I can look (it showed up at my house 2-3 days after I asked for tracking)

It was wrapped in bubble wrap and I don't recall seeing a weigh bill/sending paperwork

Ok thanks. I found a bumper that I really want from the UK but the seller isn't keen on shipping international. My feeling is that the seller is assuming it wouldnt be cost effective. I'm just trying to find the best deal on shipping so I can forward that info to the seller and convince em to sell me that bumper!

Yes a lot of them were like that (if I ran across them, I just send it to my friends house and he can ship me stuff)

Hmm...what shipping service does your friend use? What kind of rates was he being quoted for the bumper? I'm assuming the quotes would apply to the rear bumper given the size comparison to the front.

My friend hasn't had to send me anything terribly large (yet) he has in the past (have known him for 10 years) and used to swap parts all the time.

($172.63) - Standard Int'l Postage
: this is what I paid to have it shipped to me from the Ebay Seller

Yea i figured shipping would run around that price. Thanks for finding that out for us.

You must have gotten a heck of a deal if you paid $2xx

Yeah, I was pretty lucky (plus the seller I used was the only one that shipped to the US) even then I had to ask for him to adjust his price (he had a lower figure) and I didn't want to short him money.

I bought my msport from ebay also, but with a US seller. You can find the replica fogs on ebay, about a hundred bucks for the set, compared to 150 each from Tischer. The grills and fog assembly is cheap, you can get that from Tischer.

Indeed the grills were cheap(er) than I thought need to order those and I found the fogs (BMW M6 w/ projectors (reps) but I wouldn't mind a projector setup

I have a couple things I would like to sell (without breaking my budget I have for this) ie: a laptop on here and some jeans

I am not sure, I haven't really started to hunt for my rear (I am trying to sell some things I don't need anymore to get my mesh/fogs for the front) have found some side skirts (they go for way too much) so may go M3 from a vendor, and the rear I have found a couple they are just hit and miss and even if it did have PDC I would fill the holes

as someone who investigated this earlier, I think may be even before the OP I can say that the deal makes sense if:

1) shipping costs are low
2) you can source the fogs cheaply
3) the part is not damaged too much and body shop will mend it well

1. Shipping from the UK to the US was cheaper or comparable to shipping within the USA (from Cali where all the Taiwan kits are located)

2. Fogs: EASY solution: 1 of 2 actually: 1. Go OEM 2. BMW 6 series fogs (which I have found projectors/replicas)

3. There is "some" damage, I inspected it when it came and found what needs to be fixed where (helps working in a shop when I was younger)
