lol yeah, and it was hard to get the higher HP cars to race me because I have a "neon." Can you post or send me that vid of me "racing" that invisible M6?

FWIW here is "rough" LBS / HP comparo of that Alpha 6 GTR that beat me by around 4 cars:

Me: 3050 lbs w/driver (~365 whp) = 8.35 lb/hp
GTR: ~4,200 lbs w/driver and passenger (~530whp) = 7.92 lb/hp

I really want to video to see how much I really lost by and/or kept up...

That was a good run. Yea I think it was about a car length that you got me by.

Awesome job on continuing to push the stock turbos out of its potential. Not everyone needs a single turbo to have fun but it sure is nice to have that option.

Its too bad more people didn't bring GPS logging equipment to the event. Terry has been more than up front with Vbox readings, GPS videos, dragstrip time slips, etc. If everyone had their GPS logging equipment, the 1/2 mile traps would have been very informative.

And yes, as much power as the singles make top end, it would be interesting to see how much of a disadvantage they are at below 3000rpm. Would love to see a 30mph pull in 3rd gear between stock and single turbo equipped cars. Again, not a real world situation, but the fact is, most of the people do 85% of their driving below 3000rpm. Just watch your tachometer as you drive around town. Top end power is great, but you also need to think about whether or not you are willing to sacrifice any of the great responsiveness and torque in that low rpm range that our cars are famous for. I would probably prefer a single with my driving styles, but I would definitely have to see how the low end response, fuel economy, etc...are affected in normal every day cruising/driving before deciding.

Hey Warren, great to meet you there! As you know, conditions were less than optimal given how long we were waiting on the hot taramac during staging so VBox times would have been very slow. As an example, my meth lines were boiling over (only had a 65/35 mix) and didn't flow at all during 2 runs! Even when my meth was flowing, during my run against Drew's SRT4, my log showed IAT's over 50c!!!

Everyone was handicapped the same so it still made for many awesome races!

It would have been nice..but I think there is always a lot of variation at these events due to lots of different circumstances..Either way extra information for comparison and data is never a bad thing!

BTW would have been cool to have 60-130s of a lot of the cars that came out...would make for a pretty nice list of comparos!

All the cars were slower at the elevation and DA there...so comparisons would definitely have to be made with cars there that same day. But just as I predicted, one person's best run may be another's worst. Hence, with GPS data logging, it wouldn't matter, you would have a record of exactly how fast your car can accelerate on its best run to make meaningful comparisons.

Yes that was me!..I met a bunch of cool people there from FFtec, GIAC, etc. Tried to get pictures of most of the cars there. Wish i had more time to meet everyone!
Ah, now I remember..your GF has parents that work at China Lake, etc. Very cool meeting all of you!

Hey Drew,

Your car did awesome. You were the only guy that asked me for a race that I couldn't run as I was having a rematch with another car. I was planning on the next run, but truth be told, the wait was killing me and the thought of the long drive back, I took off! Next time, for sure!

Terry let me borrow his Vbox when we ran and he was pulling away from me, so whatever I ran, he ran faster :-)

tell him to check the Vbox lol

was anyone else wondering where those ~1000hp Weistec cars were?

Also, no doubt, Terry's car would have been the fastest stock turbo car, I would have liked to know what his actual car weighed with him in it. All this speculation is bs.
My car with me in it weighs 3825lbs. That's verified at the scales. It means nothing when people post up how fast their n54 is with silly captions!
"fastest stock turbo n54 no nitrous auto with bbs lm-r WITH red caps"

Woohoo.. I feel like a man now!

On a separate note, I'm talking to this nice 'white' dude with a green shirt discussing meth lines, purging etc and later I got told, it was Terry! I did go back to look for him but had no idea where he went!
I kept thinking thinking Drew was a 'black' guy and I thought Warren was a younger 'white' guy! Yup, I was wrong!

I would have run Terry's car just cuz but then again, I wanted to run the sc m3's, gtr and so many more!

It was fun and the guys who set it up, Ryan, Jason and crew were awesome!

lol I'm the 335 and we actually tied so he technically didn't loose his last race of the day! Richard (driver) is a very cool guy.

The car being logged showed it consistently hit around 140mph at the cones, so it made for some great relative comparisons! He should have raced everyone at the event on video!

Here is a photo of what the BMS OCC caught during these high speed runs and the 1/4 mile runs of the previous week. Imagine this junk coated all over the inside of the intercooler, charge pipes, and intake valves. Yuck!

Yeah, except that during those runs, the engine is operating on WOT and the OCC is collecting some of the fumes...

When cruising and decelerating, the PCV system routes the fumes in a different direction.

So you'd suggest they just pour all this crap back in to one of the cone filters?
