WOW

Great review!!! I was on debating between the Procede and JB4, but you definitely made that decision much easier.

Nice detailed review. What meth mixture and additive are you using? What size nozzles? I ran 91 octane, dual meth nozzles with a 60 additive (perhaps not recommended), but the car definitely kicked ass. On my JB4, if I trapped 124.0 mph on the Vbox I thought that was a bad run, lol.

Here is one of my 125.3 mph runs with the stock rear catback. (I got 126mph with a custom rear exhaust). Any time you can get under a 8.0 sec 0-100mph, or a 11.7 sec ET with a mediocre 2.0 sec 60' on stock turbos, your car is running strong!

Are you on a 15ohm board? I'm liking that timing curve and pretty flat meth curve, Mine flows 1 value less around 5,700-5,800rpm for some reason but then goes back to normal.

Glad I could help, but I'm not sure I would get the JB4 over the Procede or not... I would love to try that one out too, but money is tight now and the Procede and their meth kit combo isn't cheap!

After playing around with it some more... and I also did the 15ohm upgrade since this review... I'm now using a 50/50 mixture of denatured alcohol and walmart windshield washer fluid, so its probably around a 70/30 mixture. I'm just using the standard single cm10 nozzle that comes with the BMS WW meth kit. And my additive is set at 50 for now... and when playing around on the country back roads, it sure seems to go through the alcohol/meth real quick!

I'd like to maybe try a single cm3 tapped into my Stett CAI, even though it would evaporate before it reaches the engine, I would think it'd help to help cool things off even more!

I only have dcis and catless mufflerless exhaust so i feel i dont need the jb4 until i get some more mods and am going all out performance.
the jb4 does not give any additional power of the jb3.

ahhh......i was unaware of this, so it just makes everything smoother int he powerband...? I know it has all kinds of other features, but i assumed there was a little bit more power squeezed out of it.

The JB4 is generally much more powerful than the JB3 during normal driving conditions. Only the race gas maps are similar in power which is limited by the turbos. But, the JB3 is no longer compatible with BMW's newer DME versions anyway so using it isn't really an option.

Do this. Few on this platform have ventured into pre-turbo meth territory. I've got a cm3 pre filter in each intake snorkel and a cm10 in a custom elbow on my xi. Meth always flows full, no worries regarding atomization / droplets hitting the turbos, etc. Just dense cool air all around. To me, it makes sense to run a little more meth with the 15ohm JB4 in the 18psi+ range

Very true.....the JB3 was very raw and punchy.....the JB4 is smooth and refined....and more powerful. Like a fine wine, it gets better with age.

Just an update... The JB4 is still performing awesome and I'm very happy with the way its running. I changed my lagfix setting from 80 to 50 and its even smoother now, its not so touchy/boost happy while driving around town, the boost just comes on smooth as you apply more throttle, just the way I like it!

And now for the best part... At my last fill up, after the gas light turned on, I added 11 gallons of pump 93 and 3 gallons of E85... Lets just say, this thing is a beast now! I couldn't believe how much the car like it, and it even feels like it runs smoother. Map 5 almost feels like Im running the meth injection, and then Map 3 with the meth injection running a 70/30 mix and additive set at 50, is just crazy!! I'm definitely hooked on doing the E85 mix now, and I can't wait to get to the drag strip!

The JB4 isn't that hard to do though, it should be easy for most people, especially with the good instructions and support you get from them!

You think the JB3 was jumpy, try the JB2HH.. that was power the second you hit the throttle
