Interesting how many people compare e36 and e46 suspension systems with this car. I don't think that's a good analogy personally.
I rode on koni+H&R on an e92, and I have bilstein + eibach on my e92, and I think my ride is more forgiving. My suggestion for most would be to at least compare the same chassis and aftermarket parts for the same chassis when making a decision rather than 10-15 year old models. |

yes, and swift springs, they are SO NICE, you have to test them out for yourself to really get what i mean when i say they are perfect. test drove a couple cars with v1's, v3's, h&r's, and then one with the hpa swift/ adj f+R setup--blows it out of the water. it's actually streetable without compromising performance in the twisties.

sport pkg LCi vehicles, consider getting short bumpstops (40mm) with the konis up front & thank me later. i have the AST ones.
the height adjustable range of the KWV1 is hard to beat off-shelf. you can get it to where the fender meets the tire at the lowest setting, but you gotta cut/replace the bumpstops to get some shock travel. i felt that the KWs weren't firm enough for my tastes, but it's probably due to their springs. TCK now sells the XI tru-matchs with the struts shortened 1". one member with sport pkg LCI had issues lowering the car with the 7" springs & it has now been corrected. my experience is limited to sport pkg LCI x-drive, but don't expect KW like drop from anything based on Konis. fyi, you can get your Koni struts shortened by them directly or places like True Choice. I'm thinking 2", but getting shorter/adjustable sway bar end link would be necessary. it's also recommended by some that when setting your Koni's firmness, you start from full firm position.

running koni and eibach combo on e92. Rides better than stock rft with my 19" hankooks. i would recommend them. also, no need to cut or change the front bumpstops with these, it wont effect anything. eibach recommends cutting the rear ones only.

Koni yellow with eibach. Love the set up. I do feel like the spring rate of the eibachs might be too low for the weight of the car Like hard bumps cause the suspension to bottom out easily. Maybe its just me. Maybe its something else. Still wouldn't change them, just take hard bumps slower. The Koni's do work great though.
