I'm interested to see how you get on with your brakes.

I will have to do mine soon. Been saying it for a while but they have lasted longer than I thought.

I see Autoparts in my hometown sell a full Mintex setup with sensors for under £250.

Do the Mtec discs have any makers marks on them?

I can't see how they can source the discs, then machine them and sell them for what they do.

Can't be much profit.

Small update

Just picked up my new wheels. Hopefully get them and my discs fitted this week but work is a bit unpredictable at the moment so we'll see.

Wheels are 19" Cades Tyrus in gunmetal wearing Falken 452 tyres.

Front - 235/35/19
Rear - 265/30/19

Hi all. Another update on my car.

So this afternoon was spent changing the discs and pads all round and getting my new wheels fitted.

Really pleased with them, think they really suit the car.

Wheels at the house sealed with 2 coats of Auto Finesse 'Mint Rims'

Car on my old mans ramp

New front disc and pads fitted

Car back outside with the new wheels fitted

Apologies for the crappy phone pics, fading light and filthy car but will remedy that as soon as I get a decent day to clean up the motor and take some better pictures from a few more angles.

like all the mods, but the wheels look gash imvho. As long as you like them. Just keep the stock ones for resale!

This afternoon turned out ok so gave the cars a quick wash and got some more pics of the car.

They don't seem to be to anybodies taste on here but I really like them so guess its mission accomplished on wheel choice as I like my cars to be different.

Future plans for the suspension have been scrapped for now as I was going to put on H&R springs but think I might just hold out and get the B3 setup from birds as and when I can afford to get it done alongside a Diff and ARB's. I might look into getting the lowering perches but need to see more feedback on them.

Jury is out on the wheels and when I looked this morning initial thoughts were that they weren't for me but having looked at them again I think they have grown on me.

I think the wheels look very 'California' and wouldn't be the wheels I would choose for my car but they are different as you say and I'm sure you'll have compliments on them.

Good job overall bud, I think lowering it would be a good move for this car...

Not much of an update but my boat Tied up local to me so thought I'd get a quick picture. Unfortunately it's a crappy iPhone pic so not the best quality

for some reason those wheels look quite small in the pictures, but the one with the boat in the background seems to do them justice again. wonder if some rear spacers would help you.

p.s nice boat!

Yes, next mod on the list is lowering and uprating the ARB's but going to get a complete matched kit as I've read that the msport dampers struggle to keep up with uprated springs. Hopefully lowering it will set the wheels off a bit better as they do appear smaller which I think is due to the arch gaps and the optical trickery of dark centres with polished lips. We'll see. Once lowered I'll maybe look into spacers but I'm not a fan of the idea of putting more load on the bearings. I'd rather get a different offset wheel.

As for the LED bulbs, I didn't get them off eBay, they were off the group buy on here so not sure if it's the same ones your talking about. I'm actually quite impressed with their performance but found it really hard to photograph. In the flesh they are really good but your never going to get LCI performance due to the design of the light unit.

Due to some unfortunate circumstances for the previous owner I managed to acquire a genuine BMW Aero Front Lip and boot lip spoiler painted in sapphire black for not a lot of money.

So today's rainy day mod was to fit the Aero Lip.

Still not decided if I'm going to fit the boot lip spoiler yet so feel free to voice your opinion on that.

The front spoiler always works. A very safe mod.

Interesting to have ramps in the middle of the kitchen.

LOL @ Kerr!!

I like the Aero splitter & I think the rear lip spoiler looks good.

I am not overly keen on the rims.

Well had dinner and a couple of beers as a reward for spending 25 mins fitting the front lip so decided to spend another 10 mins fitting the rear lip to earn myself a wee dram.

It's a hard life
