Full props for your imagination though. Anyways, I'm sure the general consensus is 99% of the same opinion as myself. We are all after all just BMW owners with poles up our arses. Didn't realise giving out advice would result in being called a baboon. Lol. I need to go back to school. Init booyakasha. Nuff respect.

mate, don't listen to the haters. If you liek it go for it. I think dump valves are cool. Jsut cause they tend to appear on scoobies and evo's that doesnt mean they don't belong on other cars. Each to their own. I would recommend the Active Autowerke kit. When i was research BOV's it seemed to be the loudest and have the nicest noise. I know Tial and one or 2 other companies make them also. Maybe get intouch with juiced up tuning or one of the other vendors on here who can maybe point you in the right direction. Even try Evolve as they may be able to supply the parts.

Good luck.

Apologies my friend. Not meaning to be harsh also mate. Hope you take it as constructive advice and definitely not as if I'm "hating" lol..sometimes the best advice can be taken negatively as an attack on freedom of opinion.

Also, Im proud that you have leather seats.

Each to his own... but "why" on a diesel. Just for the sound???????

MP3 file on the audio.... add an exhaust track as well, just for fun.

Just for the record... I'm just shaking my head in amazement, that a "tractor" diesel owner would just want a dump valve sound effect.

But again, each to his own... will make someone smile.

I used to have a BOV on my Subaru Impreza many moons ago for various reasons.

1. The original re-cirv valve was a weak point so when I modded it and upped the boost with a remap I needed a better one to replace it.

2. A Subaru is a rally rep car so the sound of the distinctive Subaru engine warble followed by the BOV and air filters dumping air on high boost actually suited the image of the car and sounded sick!

3. I was in my twenties and I thought it sounded really cool.

However note that this was all on a car which required the valve be changed and suited it. On a diesel BMW, let me think about that for a second......

Chuggu Chugga Chugga psssshhtttt.........LOL!

Amazing thread. Congrats to the forum.

Honestly, my advice but would be don't do it - the diesel BOV is not for me, but if you want it I wish you luck in finding one.

I will not tell you not to do it by belittling you or your car or making some snap judgement on the type of person you might be - I think all of that is just silly considering we are talking about a mod to your car that doesn't hurt me in anyway. I don't know why so many people do that

Hah hah, that was my thought exactly until I visited site earlier and heard a knackered old cement mixer chugging around and that was almost identical.

Don't listen to the haters.

Why stop at 1 dump valve? I think 2 would be much sicker blud.

I'm going to put hydraulic bouncing suspension on mine after the bodyshop has finished fitting my autovogue bodykit. Yo.
