My 07 ate oil until I replaced the PCV valve with an RB model. I used to carry 2 qts in the trunk.

Yes sir, RB has an upgraded PCV for sale. You'll have to search, sort of an arcane process for buying it.

I have a 2011 335is, mine takes a quart of oil every 4500 miles or so. I change the oil when it tells me too... 12-13K/change. I just had my first oil change last month at 12700.

I find this odd... I've had my 2011 335is for 6 months with 15000 clicks added to the existing 25k and absolutely no oil issues... And I'm tilt on my car since day 1

I would see another SA and a different dealership.... Especially if its under warranty....

Strange, I'm over 70k miles and haven't put a drop of oil in the car since it was last changed almost 5k ago.

These cars just burn it?

Oil Consumption

My e92 n54 just seems to be burning oil so much quicker than anyone elses. I'm burning half a quart of oil in 20 miles. Lots of white smoke. Have done compression and leak down test, both came out very impressive. 190 across the board for the compression test and 2% loss for leak down test across the board. I'm nearly positive it's got to be the turbo seals but even if those were bad, would I be burning oil this fast? Is this type of consumption more likely to result in an engine rebuild? Thanks for any help

Your turbo must be really bad😂 I wouldn't worry about your motor

Something is seriously wrong here, if you said a quart a 1000 miles probably, but in 20, that's insane oil consumption.

You need to get the car properly checked out, top down, take the undertray off and check properly for any leaks as well.

May well be your turbo seals, if you can see where it's leaking from good, otherwise you'll probably have to go straight for the turbos.

Seems like way too much. 20 miles is insane, I'd believe your turbo seals are contributing if the car is smoking a ton but I doubt they'd leak THAT badly. I'd be willing to bet it's leaking somewhere else too.
