Sorry, but that is NOT a DD in my world.
It may be very competent on the strip, but... Nah.
Above 3700rpm, it is more responsive and more easy to modulate than the stock twin turbos. Not to mention a whole lot more powerful. And the power band expends to 7200rpm which gives it a wider powerband than the stock twins as well. If anyone thinks this is un-drivable on the street, they don't know how to drive. Plain and simple.

Ok.

If you're able to transfer the power to the ground, yes.
But in DD situations - Not sure about that...

I would love to see this set up in a XI though.

The lag is undoubtedly minimal compared to the power gains. A "decent", at least, driver should be able to easily adapt to the new powerband in this setup, and to be honest, i'd put up with even more lag for those gains up top. Unless your a "streetlight-racer" kinda guy... In that case BT makes sense, kinda.

That's why the throttle pedal is there to modulated depending on gear/traction conditions.

Ok.
Not my cup of tea though.

Again - I think this set up would be more suitable for a XI.

The alternator. The alternator pulley has a clutch, allowing it to spin down more slowly than the engine.

Not into modulating the throttle? Does that mean you only want more power so long as you can floor it and not think about traction?

Shiv -

Keep up the good work man. The new CEA wheels are no joke. The light weight turbine wheels spool up considerably faster and require a lot less energy to spool.
We noticed a lot of 4 cylinder turbo systems requiring 2 wastegates even on single scroll setups to keep the boost down.

6262? or 6266?

Can't wait to see one in person.

Haha, I see you kept the fire extinguisher handy. The turbo sounds ridiculous as it spools...

Shiv, whenever you get a chance, can you let us know how you like the AST's? I am hating the stock suspension so much, but I'm thoroughly confused about whether I should spend the extra money for Ohlin R&T's or just go for these babies. Thanks.

oddjob, good to hear from you my friend! A lot of people forget we were one of the originals to try w/m on this car for the first time. It seems like a lot of people are now going back to the install style we had a couple of years ago?

I am looking forward to getting in the car and feeling the power! I am going to try R888 and see if I can hook with them, if not I may drop to 18s and go DR. We will have to see. I can't wait to write the review!

I can vouch for this personally. I had the regular PT6262 (journal bearing and regular wheel) on my prelude and after it went I replaced it with the PT6262sp with the ball bearing and billet wheel. Definitely a noticeable difference in spool up
