Why not just get your local paint shop to paint them. Mine couldn't guarantee how long it would last but £20 painted mine and so far so good.

i have can of primer, black sapphire and laquer ready to give it a go! but £20.00 sounds so tempting! the paint alone cost me £19!

yep..have had the stuff on my mini (blacked out all ther chrome) for 2 years with no issues whatsoever....any can spray the stuff on.

as you guys know i used Plasti Kote as i got fed up with trying to find Plasti Dip.

Its been a while now and there are visible chip marks on my grille, so i would not recommend Plasti Kote.

I have now ordered Plasti Dip from the website and also some primer just to be safe. Hopefully chip marks will not show now.

dos the plasti kote peel off like the plasti dip? or is it completely different?

the plasti kote does not peel off

im going to do it the proper way this time. sand the plasti kote off, add primer and then add plastdip.

lol....just got my delivery of plastidip today...going to get my front grills(no need to buy new ones..yaaay!!) and chrome door trims next weekend now....might post some pics...excited!

the plastidip and primer came today, along with packs of haribo and skittles

planning to do the painting this weekend and will try and put some pics up

got mine a few days ago.....said is was going to wait for next weekend but just got impatient....needless to say....i now have matt black exterior trims and a matt black grill now...love it!

naaa...have used plasti dip loads of time before...you dont even need that primer you bout (could have had another can!) just make sure that you wipe down and clean the surface to be sprayed....and then do it in coats..

it may look a little rough when you spray it but youll soon notice in 10 mins that it smoothens out......

ow!!! and i also sprayed my rear spoiler.

thinking of getting a few more cans...might do a black roof!

i just had a bad experience with plastikote so wanted to do it properly, but maybe its overkill!
