It produces dimethyl ether, which is an aerosol propellant.

Wow everyone is having a panic attack about this. To be honest before i gave back my 335 i was refilling the meth tank, Which used to sit on the other side of the rear seat and about 2-3 Oz of it spilled onto the back of the chair and trunk.
It stood like that for 2 months and nobody fainted in my family. The point is this stuff is dangerous no matter what, if inhaled or ignited but its not a freakin monster. It will be good to you if handled with care. Just make sure their is no vent on the cap and your good. That vacuum imploding tank phenomenon is BS. I ran my tank with no vent for 6 months and it never imploded on me.

I think you are grossly overrating this. Most of us are using 60/40 or 50/50 concentration with distilled water, I don't even think there are any fumes released from this combination. Plus the trunk is well insulated from the cabin.

Methanol vaporizes under everyday temps - scientific studies have shown inhalation of the vapours more often than not does cause birth defects in future offspring.
You're not going to go blind or anything, but it does have an effect on your cardiovascular system and has an effect on the neuro system as well, if you don't really care for that are you still willing to risk the health of future offspring? I would either run a non-vented cap and hope the tank doesn't implode or just spend the extra $15-20 and tap the top of the tank and run a line outside of the vehicle.

It might be easier to just push your vent line through that black plastic grill beside the battery there.
On my 135 there is a fabric curtain on the other side which pushes aside and allows air pressure in the cabin to vent into the rear wheel fender. |

Why it just doesn't come with the one way vented cap ? I am looking for one but can't find them. I don't want to breath dangerous fume everyday in my car but its been a while already.. shit.
I bought the tank from the BMS which doesn't have any vent hole in the cap. I had to make a hole in it for venting since my methanol tank tends to shirink without vent. |

I am not sure how is possible your tank doesnt get shrink without any vent hole on it which means you must have some leaks near cap. Also its really hard to smell fume.

Came across this and thought of an idea. Why not just drill a tiny hole in the tank cap and attach one of those dirt bike gas tank one way valves to it. Theyre like 5 or 6 bucks on ebay such as the following and should fix all concerns with fumes since theyre designed to contain liquid gas.
