I have the same noise problem. E91 HIFI option, Technic Harness, JL 600/6 XD and JL 600/1 XD. Same for me no noise when RCA cables are disconnected from the amps.
I will start to investigate the problem next week.

I don't have the exact same behavior as you have.
My noise don't change with the engine rpm.
I will record the noise when the ignition is turned on.
I don't own a smart phone
I have to borrow one (might take a few days).
Have you tried to connect the amp RCA cables to a unit not sharing the same ground (IPhone, IPod...)?

Connected iphone ---> RCA ---> Amplifier and no noise at all.

That means, noise is coming from
1- HU
2- RCA convertor
3- or anything else?

iPhone output is non-balanced, which is what the amp wants. Wait until you have your converter, that is probably the problem. Best solution though would be to get an amp that will accept balanced input.

if I code HU back to base, it will convert signals to non-balanced and amp should work?

If you code back to base it should work but it won't be a flat eq. A da2 would also work if you coded to logic 7 but that's probably more than you want to spend on this.

Thanks all of you who helped me to sort it out.
I have finally got my VEN4 and it resolved the issue (ticking noise is still there but minimum but noise with engine RPM has gone).

Sound is brilliant now.

And finally I have managed to set gains on my amplifier.
I have measured voltage at the end of VEN4. If I keep 5V, then sound gets distorted easily.
I kept it at 4V and that worked like a charm.

Can AudioControl LC6i convert balance output to RCA level ready for any aftermarket amp?
