Not L7 they upgraded hi Fi ones I believe.

Been trying various settings and its not too bad but still find certain tracks cause distortion.

L7 have an Orange label and are marked with the L7 logo. Hi-Fi subs should be a blue label as far as I'm aware and have seen, however Hi-Fi subs are 2ohm and L7 subs are 4ohm. The Alpine amp isnt 2ohm stable therefore L7's are best suited.

I have the alpine upgrade and the l7 sub upgrade, both work very very well together.

Where did you get your L7s from? Did you fit, or a dealer?

Got them from a forum member here, done them myself, within an hour (1st time) and such a simple plug n play job and probably made the biggest change to the audio system in my car.. defo go for it if you can.

If you have alpine kit and get it coded to hi-fi as Adrian, I and many other forum members did.

If you have lci with pro-nav and dealer installed it, they should have codes it.
With pro nav you cannot find out.
Look at your alpine amplifier switch and see at what position it is? As that will give you idea whether installer coded it or not?

I did get it installed at the dealers who did charge me for the coding as well... just want to make sure they carried it out!

Take a deep breath. If they charged you, they should have done it.
There is a switch under the amplifier and check at what position it is.
