Sorry about my delayed response. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience with Guy & Sons this time around. I took my E90 there to get work done on the rear door and rear fender that were damaged when my wife side swiped a pillar. When I picked up the car, I immediately noticed that the panel gap between the door and the rear fender was uneven. I didn't say anything at that time since I wanted to make sure that I wasn't just "seeing things".
I looked at it outside my garage again the next day and I could clearly see the uneven panel gap and the gap was noticeably wider when compared to the other side of the car. I called the shop and told them about it, they asked me to bring it in. One of the owners looked at the panel gap and agreed with me that it is uneven and said, "yeah, I see the slightly uneven panel gap, but you have to live with it. It's going to cost me another $350 to repair it and I'm not going to do that. Your estimate from the other shop was $500 cheaper and may be you should just consider that a savings and live with it". I couldn't believe that he had just said what he said. I didn't say anything back to him, just got in my car and drove away. I know I could have and should have demanded that he should fix it without any additional cost to me, but I just didn't want to give my car back to them. I would NOT recommend taking your car there. |
