OP stated he didn't fill it to top. The meth boiled and the content vapors cant be good either. You are trying to justify a WW meth tank setup that you have. Based upon all these recent post of WW tanks and fires, if this doesn't prove it to you, then nothing will until it happens to you. Change it out ASAP to a trunk mounted tAnk. WW tanks don't just leak from the bottle filler, they are prone to leak at the pump at the bottom of the tank.

I'm really not trying to justify anything just stating of what can you do to reduce the risk of this happening .

The only way to reduce the risk is going a tank mount. Over 6 maybe more cases of this happening is more than enough evidence that this doesnt work.

Why do you think 10% alcohol becomes flammable as you cook with it? As soon as it exceeds it's flash point it burns. Regardless of how much water you have, the water will just boil off and evaporate... Go to BMW and get a replacement cap. They changed the warning on the cap, it now has a flame on it. OP, I hope you didn't cause any real damage. I highly recommend moving your system to the trunk or switch to e85.

I've been trying so hard to push guys. Nobody wants to listen and I'm not too sure why. Hopefully these threads can help more people.

Vishnu and BMS should stop selling this unsafed product to customers until they revise it to truck mounted system.

Even Shiv's car has a trunk mounted system now....lol

Do we know of a single fire on a trunk mount setup? The windshield washer setups are the problem.

never thought it would happen since i only run 50/50 but it did happen but got lucky n saw it rite away.
do you know how much it would cost to do the trunk mount and what kind i should go with?
i would like a 2 gal tank.
thanks
PM me if you want a trunk mount, I am selling my CM pro tank and gauge.

Yeah, because inhaling methanol vapor is awesome.

i have a theory that the cap popping up is 90% of the meth fire situations. just take a velcro strip and make your own way of holding the cap down. oh and stop filling
up ur tank all the way. i never fill more than half at a time

100% of the issue is people trying to make the WW kit work....

OP included did not over fill his tank and he ran 50/50. What more do people need to do to fix their WW kit? Avoid using it if they want to avoid a fire, plain and simple. Everyone else that uses it will be due in time. As mentioned in many other threads. Leaks can stem for popping of cap, leaks in neck, leaks at pump, or cracks in tank.

Besides the cap there are greater chances the pumps oring starts leaking from the higher than normal concentration of meth even if it's 50/50. How do you explain in theory how to fix that issue? Lol.

Sounds crazy dangerous. Windshield wiper reservoir should be for wiper fluid only...

This was close enough for me.......went to a trunk mount right after and haven't looked back since.

I've actually stopped worrying about fires and my meth has been running much cooler from the trunk mount than it did from the WW.
