FrankoQ - the pic looks well descriptive, but how much different was the 4.0 vs the original 1.0 version ??

Well since you asked...
Pics don't capture the real look.

Both look "white" but lux4 is much brighter.
At night, Lux1 was great.
during daytime, lux1 was just not bright enough under the sun.
I'm really happy with how much brighter lux4 is at night or daytime.

Now in terms of the unit itself...
lux1 was a pain to install. they were a little chubby and barely fit in
the AE bulb cover.
Lux4 is a smaller unit, smaller heat sink and smaller fan.
there was enough room for them plus my additional wires for the corner
delete mod.

All in all, I was happy with lux1, but I wanted them to be brighter to use the
rings as DRLs. So, Lux4 does that just fine.
