hmm that was one of the lenses I was looking at tonite..and it was 240 with the VR 190 without

It has image stabilization (Nikon calls it vibration reduction = VR) which makes it a great lens...costly tho...

Costly but worth it IMHO. They are often difficult to find if you want to get one too.

I found that one at Ritz Last night 190 with out the VR...is the VR necessary? Or will it be just as good without the vr?
