I checked the reservoir and it is at exactly the full line and there is no signs of spillage or overflow. How could the brakes become soft if no air could have entered the system? Naturally, I am going to try bleeding them but it doesn't make any sense.

This doesn't make any sense. The pedal should not feel mushy because of new brakes. The purpose of 'bedding' in the brakes is to transfer pad material onto your rotors so they will 'marry up' better. The brakes may not 'bite' as well, that would make sense for new pads, but a mushy or long pedal would not.

Mushy(long) pedal = bleed brakes

Just want to mention. I bled all 4 brakes and I'm still getting a mushy feel using this package http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-28...28xi-2007.aspx with the standard options selected (Axxis/PBR metal master street pads). Could it be that brand of pads?

You can get a soft pedal if you compress the brake piston when doing pads. Usually driving around and bedding the brakes will make everything right. If you do bed the brakes and you still have a soft pedal then you absolutely must bleed the system.
