I wan to get a set of these soooo bad. How much camber does a stock M3 run?

The E9X M3 naturally has about three quarters of a degree more negative camber than the Non M E9X cars.

Do you know what the camber is set at? I just did an alignment last week after lowering the car on KW's and wanted to set mine at -1.5, which couldn't be done with the stock equipment plus the shop was trying to tell me that I would be chewing through tires which I know I won't be at -1.5.

im guessing you mean the front? stock specs for the rear of a non-M e90 is -1.8

Also zeenon53, if you have the shop set the toe close to Zero you'll notice the car doesn't center as well BUT you'll have much "nicer" tire wear when running higher levels of negative camber.

So on a scale of 1-10, how difficult is this to do by yourself? I was told by two different shops that I should change the front for sure. I like to work on the car, but I have never done anything close to this. I've changed my sparkplugs, all the filters and that's about it. I would classify myself as an avid novice/beginner. I do know that once this is done, I will need an alignment.

Your thoughts?

It's not overly difficult if you have the tools and you're comfortable tearing apart your car. HERE is a link to a DIY showing how to remove and replace the fronts.

Thanks for the link. I saw other ones but not this detailed. I'm also assuming that after performing this job, an alignment will be necessary, correct?

Correct, and alignment will be required after installing new control arms on the E9X.
