Thanks for the input. Ordered some NT05s for fairly cheap(520$ shipped brand new). We'll see how they do. The Nitto NT555s are definitely not cutting it at my power level anymore... Might go a bit wider than 275 next time too |

PSS grip better than Invos BY FAR. The invos ran NARROWER - I had both lined up next to each other in 275 width and the Nitto was 1/2" skinnier. Never rubbed with Invos and had to roll my rear fenders with the PSS in the same size on the same wheel. The Nittos were softer and better for bad roads but both tires are quiet. The Nittos lasted me 8,000 miles on the rear.. very very soft but the huge rain channels don't make for much contact patch for straight line runs. Nittos are WAAY better in the rain (HUGE inner channels). |

I am running an RE-11 and I absolutely love them. I know those weren't in your choices but they are slightly cheaper than pilot sports and they are amazing.

And i also just realized that my noobness stroke again. I just noticed that i purchased 275/35/19 instead of 275/30/19. I dont know too much about the tires and the offset, but will this mess anything up? Car is dropped on H & R sport springs with rolled fenders.

NT05R i use on my 17's is a true drag radial I am fbo cobb tuned trapping 117+ in the quarter I really think you would like the tire, they would definitely help u harness your power but doubt you could get in a 19 without being wider. there is a difference in the NT01 vs the NT05R the R is comparable to the Mickey Thomson DR's . you just ordered a taller tire, they may fit, but id return them and get what you intended. The taller sidewall will actually aid in traction however I hesitate calling a 35 series tire tall....at all.
If you want ultimate traction, get r888. plain and simple.

Kinda late to the game here, but I'm pretty amazed with the RE-11's I've been running on my C6. They hook up surprisingly well for a street car making ~700 rwhp and ~600 rwtq. When they were new, I think they were almost as good on the street as my 17" Hoosier drag radials -- except they aren't scary to drive on, handle great, and have lasted very well.
For a good, sticky DD tire, the RE-11 gets my vote.

Hey guys, kind of late to the party here... So here are my :twocents:

The other thing to look at is which cars chose to go with the PSS as OEM: all new BMW M's, Shelby GT 500 SuperSnake and Shelby 1000, Koenigsegg Agera R, Gumpert Apollo, new Corvette Stingray, Ferrari 458 Italia (which Ferrari pushed for a special early release of the PSS), 599GTO, FF, F12 Berlinetta... And some of those cars put down some insane power! I have had them on my M for about a year now where I have driven them hard in many different conditions. I have also autocrossed on them, ran a few canyon runs (including an epic run down Hwy1 through Big Sur!), and have had a few track sessions and they have never cease to impress me! Toyo R888's are some of the best street legal nearly R compound tire I have ever used. And they are decent in the rain.
