5 Series is a big ol' hector though - it won't be as light on on its feet as a 3'er.
I'd be looking for a 330i if you wanted to stick n/a, if not then a 335i

From what everyone has said in this thread, the 335i seems to have at least as good MPG as the rest of petrol engines :|

I did 360 miles on my last tank, 58 litres. That included a few trips into London too. Don't rule it out on mpg it seems

MPG doesn't really worry me it was just to get some idea. I'm getting 37.1 from the 330D on 100% motorway driving. I think i have the same right foot as Sheps (he has a bigger smile)

Thanks for all the feed back

Not really a lot you can do with your right foot on the motorway? You should be able to get 32+ from the petrol's on the motorway if you are doing 100%

Sure, but there is only so fast you can go on a motorway. You can't infinitely increase velocity? Or are you one of those people who spends most of their time braking on the motorway?

LOL, nope I start work at odd times so have the motorway to myself most of the time.

I don't see the point of sitting a foot behind someone when there trying to overtake as well, I do sit behind folk who don't move over when the middle lane is clear
