Hmm, I thought the Msport rode lower on a different setup ?

I.e. was a firmer ride ?

Can't believe the MSPORT is just a different wheel and some bodykit, seems a lot to pay for just that ?

i was dissapointed, that it wasnt an m sport, as after all basic price the S5 is 6-7 grand more! I would of though that the m-sport might have been quicker given the lower profile tyres, and sports suspension???? Also it looks so much better that SE - stunning IMO with just subtle changes, especially with 225m's
The 335 SE (both i & d) has got M sport suspension as standard, so only the tyres are different.

... didn't know that

So M-sport is really for people who are NOT going to change wheels mod etc ?

Otherwise there's little point in getting it over the SE, Damn my logic !

why on earth would you change the 230's?? in my opinion there the best OEM e92 wheel

The only thing the SE needs in aero front lip and it looks awesome and dosent have the black bit in the rear bumper so looks somewhat cleaner

I think most people who buy M-Sport assume the SE Coupe is the same as the SE saloon but it isn't; it comes standard with the same sports suspension and sports seats. The M-Sport gives you a body kit, 225's and a thicker steering wheel. I have 230's which I also think are better looking than the 225's and a new M3 steering wheel off eBay (£150) and will add the M3 bootlid spoiler and an aero front lip - all cheaper than the M-Sport kit which will be more common and won't look any better! My opinion, of course.

i do like the M-sport and i undertand why it will be more popular but i do think the mods you have stated the e92 will look smarter and rarer of course

can you please post up your pic of your m3 wheel?

thanks

I can - and will - this evening when I get home BUT it is still in a box in the boot of my car waiting for me to get around to taking it somewhere for installation. I have another one wrapped up in a box in my garage somewhere too 'cos I was sent two by mistake!

No, there was definitely an incident where James May put a hamster in a plastic ball to run around across the airstrip and along came Clarkson and... SPLATT!

That looks fab - especially with the red/blue stitching.

M sport also gives different trim (£250 upgrade on SE), short throw gear stick, different colour range, Alcantara seats (or £300 discount on leather), access to 19" wheel upgrade for £420 less than SE model, high gloss shadow line trim (£350 upgrade on SE), anthracite headlining (£135 upgrade on SE) + body kit, steering wheel etc.

+ easier to move sell on as m-sport's are the most saught after on the second hand market.

All in all, a worthy updgrade, imo.

And it can't be denied that this looks significantly better than an SE

Did you post on another thread Yahoo that you were going to remove the CDV? Have you done this yet - any noticeable difference?

No - I don't take delivery until early October. My car is being built in week 36 (this week).

I am going to buy a modded CDV ready for installation soon after delivery. I will post with my thoughts once that is done.
