Exactly why I am doing it myself. I'll probably be doing both sides myself for less than $300 total.

So I was reading that the bearings need to be installed a certain way with the black ring facing inward toward the car. In looking at my F.A.G. bearings (made is Slovakia) both rings are red. How do I tell which way needs to face inward?

Wish I had a press and didn't need the car as a daily driver, otherwise I might have tried to tackle it. On the upside, I spoke to a indy shop that comes recommend in my area and they can do the job for about $235 cheaper than the dealership. Still going to sting a bit, but not nearly as bad!

Bearings have been replaced and all is quiet now. I will say only the passenger side was was bad. Driver side was in good shape. Replaced both regardless.
