V2 solves all problems... Cures cancer and helps feed the poor...
If you are in S. Florida and actually get V2 in the next few weeks let me know I will show you how a little black box can't compare to a proper tune designed for your car... |

Well, don't trash PROcede just yet. I've had experience with both the XEDE (Shiv's original XEDE, not the AA XEDE) and the PROcede of course; I was an XEDE beta tester back in 12/06. Your car with the AA XEDE, DPs and exhaust will be fast no doubt. However, it may not be any faster than a PROcede 335i with stock exhaust or a PROcede (v2.0) 335i w/ an aftermarket exhaust and/or DPs. Don't be too disappointed just in case you can't get below the mid-high 12's at the track, since your 6MT is more difficult to launch than a 6AT and our local track isn't exactly the best prepped track in the county. We'll find out soon though, and whatever happens, it will be a lot of fun!

how much did your AA tune cost you? ive been pretty tempted to switch to them given the customer service, or lack there of, i have gotten from the vishnu crew about me having 15+ boost 90% of the time and the possibility of me really starting to add mods to my car that need tuning; been waiting to see if v2 provides us the ability, but im doubting it, and with no way to tune it to your mods its a bust

Interesting. How about qualifying that statement, i.e., what exactly does a "proper tune" include that the PROcede doesn't do right now, or with V2?

there is no exhaust tune there is no downpipe tune no intercooler tune () as of now there is not ability for any end user to tune it themselves and shiv does not fly out to do it for you not only is a tune needed for each of these parts to fully extract there potential, and sometimes they can affect your car negatively without a proper tune |

Let's not turn this into another "tuner vs tuner" thread.

he's not trying to make it tuner vs tuner, he's making it "this tuner will tune for my setup" vs "this tuner won't". pretty simple. two people have now had problems with downpipes with procede stock tune (not sure how many have even tried it), it stands to reason that there could be more problems of that nature. not necessarily just procede either, tt and jb are also suspect, as is the aa xede, though they obviously can provide a tune to go with the downpipe. point is, if you want to do more than the piggyback + cat back, aa might be worth considering for you...

you are typical NYC trash!!!!!!!! hence your name!!!!!!!!!!! this is why people from the NYC get a crappy rap!!!! a proper tune doesn't come from a box that is intercepting signals moron!!!!!!! it comes from a flash that reprograms the ECU not tricks it.....people can see cars go back to normal with a box as the ecu notices things aren't right and makes corrections over time...you have a blackbox too it is not named procede just xede with some custom tune for dp's and exhaust....well that is obviously better than just a stock map, i know the procede is coming out with many more maps..not just v.2...remember you don't have a proper custom tune cause you have a box not a system reflash which is what dinan and bmw are coming out with so calm down son your aren't much better with your custom tuned BOX!!!! and find someone with dp's and all your exhaust stuff and wheels/tires not just v2 and then see!!!! of course you would beat them with just a procede you have dp's and exhaust which should add another 40 hp give or take

1. Shiv goes buy the particular product, tunes it himself, and releases the map.. 2. The manufacturer gives Shiv the product, Shiv tunes it, and releases the map.. 3. The end user buys the product, goes to Shiv, Shiv tunes it, and releases the map. I don't see how you can have a specific map without one of the above. Correct me if I am wrong. If the NYCGarbage didn't drive to AA and get a dyno tune, would he of been able to post these type of results? I'm not one to say one is better than another without giving both the fair shake, which means, OP go to Shiv's shop, get a tune like you did at AA.

^ I am pretty sure we will see a PROcede map for DP's. It just takes some more time. You can't expect the map's to be ready as of today, we know since yesterday when it will be possible to order the v2 upgrade and shipping will start.

#1 & #2 - Unrealistic. I don't see Shiv buying other people's products just to make a custom map for free. I think you aren't comprehending what I typed.

I only saw where he said he was going to have maps of the downpipes but that might of been from Riss. I haven't seen Riss release any products yet so who knows if he has received them from the vendor.

I currently have the UR downpipes and v1.47 and when I installed the downpipes (high flow cats) I did feel like I lost power as well. I personally don't think these downpipes are more restrictive and I think that we will see more power with a tune for the downpipes. My only question would be why would we lose power. I will have an eisenmann meisterschaft on the way and V2 hopefully coming soon. I'll let you know how this changes things. btw I only use shell 93oct from the same gas station.

The ECU is operating within it's normal ranges and will not make any corrections over time. We have users here with more than 20.000 miles on the PROcede. Currently we don't understand why the particular DP's combined with the PROcede don't provide power gains. Once Shiv will get DP's with and without cat's we will see the gains you miss right now. For me this is only a question of time. Of course, the vendors of the DP's should contact Shiv and provide them to make this happen ... A new engine tuning component attribute is born: PROcede supported Cheers Eugen Last edited by e.n335; 09-02-2007 at 05:07 PM.. |
