Just leave them in the dust. That should induce enough fear.

Yeah, whether it's a PROcede 335i or an XEDE 335i, it should beat a stock SRT-8 without too much trouble.

I just raced a modded SRT-8 300C and we we're pretty much back and fourth from a few runs 60-150ish then eventually I pulled ahead at the limit.

Yeah, the key word in your statement is "modded" (300C SRT-8); from what I understand, the SRT-8s are fairly easy to mod, and can add some decent gains. However, I think the 300C-SRT-8 especially are somewhat drag limited in the high end...kind of like a flying brick.

You should walk away from the 260HP Soltice, even though it barely weighs over 3000LBs. Look at the August 2007 "Lightning Lap" article in Car And Driver. Even on the 4.2 mile VIR, the 335i walked away from the Solstice, Mazda 3, and Mini Cooper, with ease.

I ran my buddy Dan's 335i back when we were both stock. The temp was about 50* at Atco and I basicly blew his doors off with a 12.9 @ 109mph to his 13.4 @ 103mph. Now that it is warmer out I am sure the race will be alot closer. SRT-8s hate heat. Also with a good tune on the 335i he should take me. On the other hand the Diablo tuner is coming out shortly for the SRT8 that will make a HUGE difference. If that doesn't do the trick I have two Bull's Eyes 60-1 turbos up my sleeve.

Wow, a 12.9 is pretty nice for a stock SRT8 300C, considering they are rated at 13.4@106, just like the 335i. Your are right about warmer temps. I was running 13.46 in 90 Degrees/2700 Ft, The GTOs and SRT8s couldn't even hit 14 Flat that day. At Famosa, 600Ft elevation?, the SRT8 Charger did a 14.6 and was getting killed by every 335i there. My M3 on that day did a 13.5X.
This weekend it took about 30 minutes to install my JB2, and the car is now running around 12.8X at 109+. The difference is the 335i is still silky smooth, quiet, and gets 30mpg the hwy. The 335i was included in top 10 best handling car magazine articles. Car and Driver and Motor Trend. So the car does more than just straight line acceleration. The engine on the 335i was just named International Engine Of The Year. Not too shabby.
