Be happy everyone walked away. Your car will be like new. And are you really concerned about the resale of a 5 year old car you just bought? Drive it a bit- you won't want to get rid of it for anything less than an M or something similar.
Seriously, OP - you won't even know. Even average body shops work crazy miracles with their magical hammers.

I once reduced a Volvo S70 T5 to about 2/3rds its original length (crumple zones worked as advertised!) and, since it was almost new, insurance did $30k in repairs to bring it back. They seriously they rebuilt everything in front of the windshield, and you'd never know they did it. The car never had any odd problems, lasted to almost 200k when the transmission computer died.

So finally got repairs started on the car and ordered parts earlier this week. Haury's quote was just over $14k, the insurance adjuster's was about 11.5k and he said it'd probably be around 6 weeks or so till it was done it's already been in the shop longer than I drove it!

Figured I might stop by the shop and take the headlights tho and do a black out and angel eye retrofit while its outta commission? And maybe order a lip/anything else that would need paint so they could do it same time and save some money? Thoughts?

Sounds like a plan to me, that black out of the headlight housing will look sick!

Ouch, that sucks.

I have always taken my BMWs to Haury's with good results. They might not be the best with aftermarket parts, but they are very good with the OEM parts / repairs.

14k in damages, wow. I would of pushed for another car if possible as once damaged, depending on the body shop rust will find it's way back most of the time.

That's quite a bit of damage. Definitely get yourself a diminished value report so you can recoup the loss of value.

Isn't it totaled if its more than half the value of the car? What's a 2008 like that worth?
