Just updated my CAS over OBD using WinKFP. Just took over 10 mins. No issues so far. Didn't have to reset or resync or anything. All my previous options also seem to be intact.

The best way to find out what software number is the good one for your car is to use ISTA-P. ISTA will not let you update individual ECU, but it can always be used as a software number provider to keep proper i-level using the WINKFP.

Hello all, Please, I have a question for you , how can I find out a module class specification ?
What I mean is : I have an E90 from 09.2006, I can read ZG_Number for CAS from INPA, but I don't find it in WINKFP in CAS 260 or CAS 3 class. How can I know from witch class it is? I want to update CAS with WinKFP after stering wheel error, but I don't know what exactly to update. I tried in WinKFP on enter Z_Sub to enter number read from INPA, but WinKFP said it can not be found. So? Give me an idea please for this problem. I want to update from V32-33 (I don't know exactly) to 52.0 Thank you. |

Winkfp will auto tell you what zb number you have and will select the suitable update. No need to manually choose. |

I just got my INPA up and running, I am having steering wheel lock issue also, but when I try to update the CAS by choosing comfort then zusb it does not give me any numbers. It will not give my VIN either. What do I need to do?

Hi guys!
I have a european 330xiAT -07 (N52, MSV70) that's been having some ELV issues (red icon, but drivable). Upgraded its tired battery (70AH standard -> 90AH AGM), changed VO*2, configured battery class in CAS. Reset it with Tool32. Cleared ELV counters with CAS.prg in Tool32. Cleared error codes in INPA. But the problem remains. So based on this thread I found the courage to flash CAS. Like a previous poster, I couldn't decide whether to choose "CAS3" or "CAS260" family module. Anyway, it was late so I just chose CAS260, flashed, everything seems to have worked out fine. But the problem remains, or, atleast it occurred once almost at once after the flashing (same evening). Cleared counters and error codes. But I fear it will happen again. And again. And again.. I was sort of hoping that upgrading CAS software would lead to the ELV just being parked in unlocked and not used anymore. Is there perhaps a software version that has this behavior? What is it otherwise that flashing CAS is supposed to fix? Other threshold/timing values for the ELV, like allow bigger voltage drop? Thanks in advance for any input! BR Daniel, Sweden |

unfortunately your steering column blocking engine is faulty. Dealer says that it this part can't be replace cause its integrated with steering column, but its not true, it is possible to fix this by engine replacing.
