You cut just the inner lip off that you would normally try to roll. This way the outside looks 100% stock and there's absolutely no distortion. It's definitely the best option on e92's, as long as you make sure to protect the area properly after cutting you shouldn't have too many issues.

Rolling always ends up looking horrible and it's so obvious from outside, it actually looks like somethings wrong with the fender. Unlessss you do a very mild roll, but you hardly gain any room that way so it would only make sense for very minor rubbing you want to quickly take care of.

Rocco said he could roll them without having it noticeable from outside last year, but no one ended up going to get it done.

Had them rolled at speedstar and service was real good and looks fine to me. Can't even tell a difference.

BUT the rubbing hasn't completely stopped.. Still rubs on big dips Especialy with a passenger.

Question now is, can I cut a bit off myself and mend this? Devin? Anyone

Then take a grinder and grind it down smooth and even as possible this gets you the most clearance out there compared to any roll or pull and is the cleanest look. You look OEM and nothing different if done right. Once done trimming you need to treat the area what I do is use some body filler and apply VERY thin coat evenly then sand even, then spray a rust inhibitor paint and you are good to go

Here is a pic of my fenders. Look at my properly trimmed fender and how there is completely no lip and look under your guys car and see the huge metal lip giving you problems

So on the outside your fender looks same as stock? It's just the inside that was cut?

At first I was under the impression you cut like an inch or two off the fender completely.
You have it right now. The outside remains the same all you are doing is cutting off the inner lip

And Jag its not only the best option for e92 but for the e90 as well

Like I said should have done it from the begining. Now its twice as hard because you have that much less to work with because it been rolled up.

Of coarse you can do it but its no for the faint hearted now

Got mine done at Wheels and Tires Zone in Mississauga. I took it to European Auto the exact same day and had them check for cracked paint (most common problem), repaint and rust proof. I then applied some rubberized underbody spray for added protection. SOLID.

That said, rubbing usually occurs only on the back half (assuming stock toe in). If the shop takes its time, there should be no issue with distorting the fender. Problems occur when you rush the job.

FYI went back there and they rolled the back area where it meets the bumper a bit more.. It was the part rubbing.

Now, NO more rubbing and looks good
Check it out at meet today

Bimmer Sport did a pretty terrible job on my friend's fenders (Fabio "SuperM3"). Now they're all rusted (paint chipped off) and bulge out badly - not lining up with bumper crease.

Luxury Auto Body definitely the way to go! Rich does a proper job and you don't ever have to worry about rubbing again. LuxAutoBody 416-266-0768

How is the service at Stance Factory in Ajax? I live out in the east end but have not heard of this shop before.
