PROcede > Turbo Tuner & Exede lol juice box Xede > Procede 1.4x map. V2 maybe different story. You'll be surprise that there are quite a few Xede on the fourm.. who are not interest in Dyno or Racing.. and saying what they have under the hood.

AA xede equipped 335is on avg are dyno'ing higher than procede v1.47. Their Website Dyno advertises 345 whp and 380 wtq. This is considerably higher then Mr.5's Dyno of procede at 323 whp. Then again though, different dyno, different day. But there is still a significant difference to consider. And then ofcourse you have Juicebox matching procede v1.47 performance for a fraction of the price. Oddly enough I'm starting to lean toward the Juicebox. Ive spoken and PMd a few people who have been running it and not a single complaint. Sure, he has poor business ethic and a sorry attitude toward competition, but I'm looking for the best, cheapest option and he seems to provide it. Mark Twain once said: With ignorance and arrogance, success is assured. Who knows, terry may be an ass, but you have to give credit where credit is due. |

I think we all ought to pitch in and pay a BMW engineer a k or 2 to test them [AA Xede, JB, PROcede, etc.] and tell us wtf is really happening and what the consequences are for our engines.
I would sure be willing to subscribe to a magazine that ran tests like that. I'm leery of anecdotes and unsubstantiated opinions.

Basically half the article was an interview with someone from BMW, who repeatedly stated that BMW could have "easily" added a good deal of more power but decided to keep at 300 bhp to keep what the BMW representative called "the BMW feel." These cars are meant to go fast- meant to have more HP and could "easily" take it. Ofcourse, take everything I say with a grain of salt Moderation. |

I read that interview with the engineer, it was interesting. The emphasis was on making the powerband of the N54 feel like a NA engine, i.e., no turbo lag, broad torque curve, and no high end peakiness. That is what the twin turbo with limited boost does so well. The key to the success of the PROcede V2, IMO, will be the powerband. How broad is it? I want power that is easily controlled, like a rheostat, and not like an on-off switch. You end up in the weeds with a powerband that spins out of control once you are in the boost.
There are ways to add power that are better [or worse] for long term engine reliability and performance. Tests like what Mr. 5 are doing tell us about relative performance on a dyno [or 1/4 mile], but they can't get into issues like what is happening to the DIs or valves or turbine bearings.

I bought mine and I am installing some serious long term mods -- LSD, coilovers, etc.
I have an aversion to abuse of machinery. Some sort of weird Karma. Probably comes from having bought BMWs with 100k+ miles and keeping them for another 100k miles. I also like to plant trees that will benefit my great grandkids, if they are around.

I'm surprised your DTC button doesn't activate some "NAWZ" too! I wish my car mechanically changed when I pressed the button...damn...all mine does is allow straight line tire slippage. |

FYI -- pushing the DTC button one quick time actually turns DTC on (instead of on standby), but it also raises the threshold for intervention; i.e. it allows for some wheel/tire spin but also provides you with better traction at launch.
If you push and hold the DTC button for ~ 3 sec., you will turn both DTC & DSC off (traction control and stability control off); this is not really recommended for a good launch as it will allow for way too much wheel/tire spin and inhibit your launch.
