Not much of my sleeve I'm afraid. We are using 2 38mm Tial wgs- one for each of the two scrolls. That's the only way you can have a proper twin scroll design. Definitely makes packaging a challenge but should pay off handsomely in terms of performance. The housing has a larger A/R than what what we usually run on the single scroll setups so it should have some killer top end. And the divided banks should give us great spool-up. We expect to see peak torque at ~4300rpm while still being able to support (engine willing!) over 850whp

Thanks for the kind words guys. Should be up and running next week.

FFTEC/Shiv,

Manifold looks really well constructed. The hardware is there for sure, with great attention to detail.

This is speculative, but Shiv do you have any initial feelings about how well the block will take to these power levels? I think it's safe to assume things will start to let go north of 800 wheel...surely. Damn this platform is starting to make stupid amounts of power.

Gotcha couldn't tell they were 38mm.

I don't think we are at the point where we can say X amount of power will break the engine. It's a bit more complicated than that I'm afraid. The truth is, the higher power you go, the less margin for error there is when it comes to knock, boost control error, lean-run, etc,. Which is why we spent so much time on the software side of things (progressive feed-forward methanol control, conventional WG actuation, multiple fault monitors, etc,. The other option was to strengthen the motor and not being so anal on the tuning side of things. But a built motor (when that time comes) will always benefit from the added software safety bits so that is what we are focusing on at this time.

Out of curiosity...how will this effectively spool with the combination of the firing order and the division between the two banks? Maybe it's a simple answer, but I'm running in slooooooowwww mode today.

What interest me more is, if this kit will be bolt on or not? I think this would have more success if a customer could go and buy a new turbo manifold and piece this thing together vice spending 1 million dollars on a "kit" that requires all new everything.. Just my .02

All things equal, it should spool a little quicker than the single scroll 6466 set-up we tested last month. But the spool on that set-up was so nice that we stepped up to a larger AR housing which will probably offset the spool advantage in favor for more power when we need it. There are some other details that are worth mentioning once the twins scroll set up is tuned

I think you mean FFTEC Motorsports

We're coming up with a plan to get your car all sorted out, and we'll have Shiv tune the car as soon as it's ready to go.
