quick question? would the oil level indicator past the max line if u put too much oil in there . reason being my oil level was half way last month so i added one qt it rose just a bit so i added another quart, now im not sure when exactly it reached the max line, if its halfway through the second quart or the end . cause im thinking i might have put too much oil and it got to the plugs

If you add too much oil, when you check the level, the car will tell you oil level too high the same way it tells you oil level low.

I had very similar codes recently after my engine suddenly started misfiring and the half engine light showed up. It cleared up but when I took it in they diagnosed bad injectors and said the problem would reoccur if they weren't replaced. I had noticed small misfires under load several times so it had been coming on for a while.
The bad part of this is that the injectors and required decoupling element cost $248 each. Like you my mileage was below 50,000. I called BMWNA because the injectors have been a problem and this is the third version. They agreed to split the cost of the injectors which was great because the labor cost is not too bad. The codes do seem nonspecific so I was surprised they came up with injector failure but the car now runs noticeably smoother. I think you have the same problem. |

remove the plugs in the morning from bank 1 . if one of them is wet or very sooted you know which injector is leaking. i had the same issue. would get misfire cylinder 4 than multiple so i knew it was 4.
basically left overnight it leaks into the cylinder.
