I do miss stations like Octane on satellite, but streaming bluetooth from sources like Spotify has sooo much better sound quality overall.

The ideal compromise... Stream Sirius/XM. I do via my phone.

1) Are the subscription costs open to discounts like the ones with our vehicle units?
2) What's the audio quality/bit rate of the audio stream from there?

The audio quality may stink (it does!), but the convenience is tough to beat.

1. It cost me about $3 a month.
I have a life subscription on another car when a life subscription was about $300.

2. I don't know. I stream from my cell phone. I'm usually listening to comedy.

Online may sound much better if its 128kbps but still not that great. I believe for satellite they actually use at most 64kbps and aacplus codec, its crap.
