I WANT MY CAR NOW! I just checked my old emails and realized I started my search for a new 335 back in April, ordered it in May, but scheduled my European Delivery pickup in September not wanting to deal with hoards of tourists everywhere. Well now it's almost 6 months to the day when I went for my test drive and I WANT MY CAR! I patiently waited for 5 months for my delivery date to finally arrive and I even handed over my keys at HARMS without any tears or dramatics, BUT NO MORE! I'm officially throwing myself on the floor and kicking and screaming until my baby is back with me! Now if someone can please call the captain of the FREEDOM and ask him to hurry it along, I would appreciate it.

I did pretty much the same except for the temper tantrum. I'm patiently waiting but, fully expecting customs to keep my car for 3 months after the ship gets into port just cause that's my luck.

So, I'm hoping for the best and expecting the worst. If I have the car by the end of October I'll be absolutely thrilled.

Judging by that I think it will be in port earlier than what Harms told me (11th). Unless it has to wait for a dock to open up or something.

This might be a dumb question but, do all ED cars get delivered to Newark on the east coast?

The reason I ask is I see Freedom's destination listed as Charleston which is where my wife's Mini came in, is also much closer to my house then Newark, and I could see the boat getting to that port on the date that Harms told me my car would be arriving in port. I'll probably just send them another e-mail Monday and ask.

wow im so excited i definatly cannot wait until november 1st i guess i will either pay a high lease or just buy it with the new finance rate=) uGHhHh iw ant it lool its so close=)

i didnt work out the exact numbers yet but i have a deal for 2k over invoice and the place is in bk i lvie in the bx i will work out what im going to do when they call me and say the cars ready why is that a problem?

Hey, wait! I'm in the Baltimore area - do you think I can slip the captain fifty bucks to just keep my car on the ship and drop it off to me in Baltimore the next day? It will be much quicker than waiting for it to go through the re-delivery process. It's a bit of a kick in the head to know that the ship is only 20 miles away from me, but it will still be weeks till I see my car again.

OK, tough guy settle down, maybe try throwing in a little more punctuation here and there.

Most people have an idea on whether they are buying or leasing the car well before they order it. I don't think there are too many people that do the "I'll make up my mind when it gets here" route on a special order.

same here, my deposit is in, im just waiting for the car to hit the port and the negotiating will take place then.

My car is pretty basic so i should be paying more than...about 510-520 a month...im shootin for 500 flat.

Whos being tough? Whell i wanted to lease until the rates spiked. Now with the low intrest rate for finance i might buy.

Well, when you say things like "why is that a problem" without being able to hear the tone of voice (because it's typed) it can be interpreted a few different ways. Usually in my experience on car forums it's in a smart ass kind of way. Sorry if I misinterpreted.

I just think it's odd that some of you guys don't have the deal worked out but, ordered the car. I just prefer to know exactly what I'm spending and what the terms are before I order something.

Generally how long does it a take a car to go through customs, VPC and, to get on a truck to be delivered? I'm assuming at least a few weeks.
