Anyone else have a more current status then 9/22?

as long as our ship don't sink, and gets here in one piece, it can be named POS for all I care. haha. So any high tech oceanagraphers out there know exactly where in the ocean the ship is at using the last posted location from the most current site?

I wouldn't worry guys, seems these ships aren't that easy to track. Sucks they don't have better infrastructure to search/track.

They need to talk to FedEx or UPS on how to better implement tracking

Good point. I'm sure there's very little chance the bastard will actually sink, but all that rust and reports of past fuel spills doesn't ease my paranoid thinking.

Hahaha... It's a French opera.

But because I have a staunch record of unblemished heterosexuality, I didn't know that. My wife told me. Sexier than Hyundai anyway.

Okay guys, in case you didn't realize it, if all goes well we get our cars THIS MONTH. Woohoo!

Check out Boyd's Steamship Company. They are the biggest booking agent for the Panama Canal. They list ships that are expected to transit the canal and provide information on scheduling. They were really helpful tracking the ship my car came on last month.

Great find. Every little bit of info helps track our pos vessel. I think what the oct 4 date is when it'll reach the panama canal? Anyone know how to snap a picture of the boat as it's crossing? i've seen some people do it on this forums with past ships that passed through there.

Excellent. It's seems that 106 will be scheduled to cross the canal on the 4th of oct. So far so good. No sinking or bad weather.

Yep, excellent find! If it's really going through on the 4th it's making great progress. That's 3 days ahead of the Manon.

Not sure, but it looks like each ship has a slot scheduled way in advance so they shouldn't have to wait around too long.

Right, but there's no telling how long they might have to wait around before it's their turn to cross.

Cool video. Glad they sped it up; would have been super boring otherwise!

that was awesome. i like how the water level changes between each door. must take some skills to fit in that narrow area the ship goes through. i hope the captain of the pos hyundai don't crash and sink the ship, sending our long awaited bimmers to the bottom of the ocean

There was a ship not so many years ago that sank after a collision in the Channel with a bunch of Volvos and BMWs (almost 3,000 of them) in its holds. A Walleniuis-Wilhelmsen ship called the Tricolor. Something to read about while you're waiting for yours! http://www.cedre.fr/uk/spill/tricolor/tricolor.htm
