In the same boat, about to take the plunge and start modding my 335. I hate to bring up the age-old intake question again...but has a definitive answer been made concerning drop-in vs DCI? I have spent the last 2 days searching the internets and every single thread ends in a flame war of some kind, and no real results as far as I can tell. If FBO is the extent of my plans, will a DCI be any better than getting a K&N drop in?

Dci is less restrictive and makes more noise. Heatsoak is irrelevant with an fmic.
Drop in is good if you want to stay more or less stock, but has no real world gains. I've run both on my car and drop in had no noticeable effect. |
