Thats what I meant. Leaving the serial cable you/I buy at(wherever)connected to the PROcede. Is there enough room in the ECU box for the whole thing in there?

So basically when doing any installation (V1 or V2) you need to remove everything to fully get the ECU cover off, but just for updating via the serial cable you can remove the one black cover panel and pull up the white ECU cover enough to get it out, but not enough to do any of the installation, correct? Just want to make sure as the less times I need to take everything apart, the better!

No, don't leave the USB-Serial cable inside the ECU (definitely not enough room), but if you strategically place the PROcede's Serial connector at the left/front corner of the ECU box (Shiv made sure it has plenty of wire length to pull it out), you should be able to pull it out with your fingers with the method I described.

What TQ values are you using? I'm about to go back and change mine again...need more TQ in the 2,000 - 4,000rpm mid range. I had it lower thinking it would be better for launches, but when I'm cruising in 6th or 5th, I feel like I need more TQ in those mid ranges.

lol...don't expect 2.0.0 to set any new records. Yes, it's better than v1.47 in virtually every respect. But it's still very conservative compared to future map versions.

I know I'm just going to set mine at all 100% and use the throttle to adjust. It's a lot easier than constantly setting new values.

Wow! You have V2.0 like one day? You were like . We be a little power hungry, huh? That's ok... I'd love to have more power too... albeit if it is safe for the old AT. Can't imagine how you get more power unless you increase BOOOOOOOST. Which then I'd be worried about internal derangement. Anyway... can't wait till V2.0 is here.

HAHA.

Shiv, you do have a good product with PROcede. There is no denying that. However, you really suck at being ethical/truthful. You first say that YOUR car, on YOUR dyno, with YOUR exhaust, on ONE day, at a SPECIFIC time, with YOUR tune (that wasn't included with v2) made 375whp and that it can never be repeated because of an infinite amount of variables. Slowly, you released other dynos indicating progressively lower numbers until yesterday when you say that it should only make "10-20 whp" on the dyno, however, you stressed thatPROcede users must look past that and realize that "on the open roads, with the turbos singingly along happily" (or some bullshit like that) that the true POWER and improvements of V2 will be realized. And now, you even go back on that, saying that it won't set any new records. LOL, then WTF is the point of releasing something and claiming a 40+whp increase in power four months ago to now saying there is nothing in the product that will result in a new record.

And now, you just layed the groundwork to v3 by claiming that "it's still very conservative to future maps." I really hope you don't start a new thread and taunt the members with the same bullshit you did for V2.

Hey, don't kid yourself...I just installed PROcede v2.0 late last night, and I'm still trying to get used to all the extra HP/TQ (and the user-defined TQ Curve, etc.).

PROcede v2.0 is WAY more powerful and faster than v1.47...a huge improvement over v1.47 and no more limp mode excuse for anyone to throw out there. At this point, I find it very difficult to believe than any other tuner's 335i (including AA XEDE, JB2, etc.) would be able to run even with a PROcede v2.0 335i, let alone beat one.

Despite any of Shiv's perceived antics or customer service issues, v2.0 feels like a completely new product and it is well worth the extra $$ paid for the "upgrade" to v2.0.

It's like the v2.0 beta testers said...it's like getting a PROcede on top of a PROcede...this thing is a complete BEAST!!!!

OMG.. dude!

After you have PROcede installed, all the updates can be done via opening the hood of your car, use your finger to reach into the ECU cover and pulling gentle on the connector(cable) so it now OUTSIDE the box, use your laptop's USB to seriel connector and then your in business...!

There are other option if you don't wish to open your hood, there is a wireless DIY and then the glovebox DIY.

But the process is not hard to understand....!

Verson 2.0 was a HARDWARE update, that allows alot more funtionality. It is also an end-uder update for the software on the laptop.

Maps for this new hardware will come in the likelyness of ie: version of V2.1, v2.2 etc.

Shiv's remark that higher boost maps are comming should be accepted. Since alot of people didn't want or need all that power, but wanted the newest product. Thats why PROcede V2.0 came with a conservative map, Though technically still more than the old 1.47.

Once Vishnu has the V2.0 shipping and queled the barrage of customer service thats sure to ensue and things settle down, other maps will be comming. How people don't understand this is laughable.

Tuners are like hackers... they do things on THEIR time. Trial and error takes time... even more time when you have someone who is conservative and is worried about your engine.

If you don't like Vishnu's service, your welcome to shop elswhere. But this persistant pandering is unbelievable..!

it's fine that it takes however long it takes, as long as you don't promise it by a certain date and then not live up to it. same goes for features, specs, etc

I think that he might have been referring to all of the talk that is going around about future updates might needing extra wires in the ECU (ie. for a speed sensor wire, etc). I could be wrong, but that's what I thought he was referring too when he asked if it required new wires for an update. I think he knows that a map update would be taken care of through the USB/serial adapter.
