glad to see some people here bumping Chris Harris on DRIVE... i think he's the best out there right now.

Top Gear is still great but Chris Harris smashes Top Gear. Everyone else out there is trying to be like Top Gear except Chris Harris.

Best way to compare is with the coverage of the Singer 911. Top Gear splashes it into their TV format and does reasonably well to peak your interest but Chris Harris basically makes it so that there is no longer any point in anyone else ever covering the car again... he did it all.

cant find a top gear Singer video to embed.

And then this little art piece on Pagani??? Christ... i put my kids to sleep with this on repeat.

The rest of the guys on the DRIVE channel are about par with the rest of the people out there doing these things.

Has anyone seen this show "I want that car"? I guess its just starting up. Its a British car show where they have a guy trying to buy a car and the host shows them a handful of used cars in their budget. Theres another host (chick) who talks about other cars. Don't know what to make of the show yet, but it looks interesting. Lots of dubstep and club music in the background. Not sure if its still big in the UK, or if the editors are just out of touch....

Why is it the Brits make a ton of non-fiction car shows, but the US doesn't have much?

Yeah, I downloaded the old show VIPER and it was so cheesy. I thought that was the best show ever. I never finished it, I need to go back and do that.

Used to watch "inside west coast customs", American chopper, west coast choppers, biker build off shows.

Occasionally top gear UK

Regularly watch all the shows on spike tv "power block tv"

And also "Stacey David's GearZ"
Mostly for infrequent updates of an SL-C kit car he is building.

they're definitely cheesy.

but one thing they CAN do that no other show will, is put your mind back in a place where you used to set up a board on a brick, jump it, and yell yeeeeee-haaaaawwww !!!!!

it will also cause you to leave small dents all over your dad's hood on his 84 Monte Carlos SS.......

IF I knew any of the lyrics to Robbie Shankar, I'd quote him when appropriate, too.
